Shangri-La Travel Guide

Shangri-La Travel Guide! ! !

Shangri-La was originally named Zhongdian. There is an open plateau pasture in the southeast of Shangri-La County called Xiaozhongdian. Xiaozhongdian is the southern gate to Shangri-La, and National Highway 214 runs through the entire territory. There is Haba Snow Mountain Q with an altitude of 5,500 meters to the east, and Qianshan Mountain with an altitude of 4,000 meters to the west, extending to Shangri-La in the north.

The azaleas here bloom around October every year. The rhododendrons are the most beautiful color here when they fall in spring. In July, flowers bloom in Xiaozhongdian Ranch, and cattle and sheep roam leisurely for food, creating a peaceful and pastoral scene. In October, the squid begins to turn red. From a distance, they look bright and bright.

China is a place with thousands of natural beauties. Whether it's mountains, lakes or flowing canyons, there are countless cases of wonders everywhere. In addition, China also has many grassland scenery. If you have a grassland complex and want to run or recruit workers on the vast grassland, you must go to Yila Grassland

Yila Grassland is located 6 kilometers northwest of Shangri-La County, with a total area of ??13 square kilometers. It is the largest and most beautiful grassland in Shangri-La. It means "Leopard Mountain" in the Yilashan language. It is named after the legendary Leopard Mountain. It is located in the north of the gateway to Yila Grassland and is a "holy mountain". In fact, Bahai Q and Ila Grassland are one. During the rainy season, there is sufficient water, and Dashofeng grassland is covered by lake water, so it becomes a sea. During the non-rainy season, there is less water and more grass, so the lake degrades and becomes a grassland.

More than a dozen rivers on the grassland, including the Nagqu River and Naizi River, meander through the grassland and flow into the Napa Sea, forming the Napa Sea Plateau Wetland Landscape.

From Shangri-La County to Pudacuo, "You generally need to rent a car yourself. If the road conditions are good, you can take a taxi." Because Pudacuo is not far from the county seat, you can also take a taxi directly. However, please note that it is best to meet the people on the same plane when you go, and leave the driver’s phone number to avoid being unable to get a taxi when you come back.

How to arrange accommodation in Shangri-La?

When traveling to Shangri-La, the first thing to consider is accommodation. If you want to stay, it depends on whether your accommodation is in Dukezong Ancient City or in surrounding urban areas. If you live in the ancient city, it is more convenient to buy tourist souvenirs or visit the night view of the ancient city. However, most of the guests in the ancient city have traditional civil structures, and the light, sound insulation and comfort of the rooms are relatively poor. But if you want to live in a grassland view room or a mountain view room, you have to live in some remote place, and traveling is inconvenient. Can only eat in the hotel. If you want to live comfortably, it is recommended to stay in an urban business hotel or a star hotel near the ancient city. Compared with Lijiang, accommodation in Shangri-La is not very expensive. You can usually book a good room for about 300 yuan in the off-season.

Currently there is no railway transportation in Shangri-La, only aviation and highways. However, the surrounding cities of Shangri-La, Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang, can all be your choices for traveling to Shangri-La. You can take a plane or train to Kunming, Dali or Lijiang, and then take a bus to Shangri-La. However, most people currently take a bus from Lijiang to Shangri-La.

The relatively small Shangri-La Airport has opened flights from Zhongdian to Kunming and Lhasa. A group of tourists must first determine their city, fly to Kunming, and then transfer from Kunming to Shangri-La. There are flights to Kunming from major domestic cities, and the number of flights from Kunming to Shangri-La is gradually increasing.

Taxi fares in urban areas start from 5 yuan to 15 yuan at the airport. There are no private cars for each attraction. From Songlanlin Temple, you can take bus No. 3 directly in the city. For other attractions, you basically have to charter a car or carpool!

Because the distance between Shangri-La and Wudian is long, the shuttle bus time will change. Therefore, before going to the scenic spot, be sure to ask about the traffic conditions at the local station, including whether there is a shuttle bus and whether the road is easy to walk. If you rent a car, you should set the price in advance.

The average altitude of Shangri-La is more than 3,000 meters, and everyone’s physique is different, so some people here may have altitude sickness, which is commonly known as plateau hypoxia. Try to carry an oxygen bottle with you to prevent reactions that may occur with altitude.

In addition to oxygen bottles and gas bottles, I go to Shangri-La in many seasons.

If I don’t bring thick warm clothes, I usually go to a store that specializes in rough winter clothing to rent clothes before departure. Shangri-La is cold all year round, and there is a big difference between morning and evening. Summer is slightly warmer, but it can still be very cold when it rains, so keep warm and beware of catching a cold.

Friends who are worried about high drug resistance can prepare some high resistance drugs and cold medicine in advance, but they must follow the doctor's advice. Because there is a big temperature difference between morning and evening in Shangri-La, it is easy to catch a cold. Once you catch a cold, you are prone to hyperreflexia. Moreover, it is not easy to recover from a cold in plateau areas, and it takes a long time to recover.

In addition to medicine, you can also bring a piece of chocolate, a Snickers bar, a lollipop and other sweets, which can effectively increase energy and prevent excessive reflexes!

Friends who usually like to drink a little bit of wine, but their physical condition cannot adapt well to high altitudes, and drinking alcohol can easily lead to severe hyperreaction. So when they visit Tibetan people's homes, even if the atmosphere is high, they still have to control their drinking. They can only drink a little, and they must not fight or drink excessively to avoid accidents.

You should not exercise strenuously when you first arrive at the plateau. You should move slowly and gently. When you reach the grasslands and other places, you should not run or jump. In addition, it is recommended that you drink more boiled water, eat properly, go to bed early at night, and get enough sleep. This is the best way to reduce altitude sickness.

When you first arrive at the plateau, you should avoid taking a short bath. If possible, it is best not to take a bath for the first one or two days, and even if you take a bath, do not take too long to avoid catching a cold due to lack of oxygen in the confined space. Because taking a bath will consume more oxygen and avoid high reactions caused by catching a cold.

Many friends are eager to travel to Tibet, but if you don’t have enough time or ambition to visit Tibet at a higher altitude, then come to Shangri-La!
