Going to Jiuzhaigou go on road trip this holiday became Yuan Zhonghua's most unforgettable trip. Because of a sudden earthquake, as an orthopedic surgeon, he joined the rescue team for the first time.

Before and after the earthquake, Yuan Zhonghua did not sleep for more than 30 hours.

Originally, this should be a pleasant trip. Yuan Zhonghua, a 38-year-old orthopedic surgeon at Hechuan District People's Hospital, is busy with his work. It is rare to take a few days off. He and his wife, Yang Yuan, set off for western Sichuan by bus on August 6.

But on the way back, things changed. The two plan to go to Chengdu via Maoxian and then return to Chongqing. I heard that there was a landslide in Maoxian County and the road was interrupted. They temporarily changed their direction and went to Jiuzhaigou, and stayed at Shangyou Hotel in Jiuzhai Snow Area on the evening of the 8th.

Recalling the situation when the earthquake happened, Yuan Zhonghua said, "We lived on the sixth floor and felt the whole building shaking." He and his wife quickly hid in the corner, and when the violent shaking was over, they immediately ran to the open space under the hotel, which was crowded with evacuated people.

I feel a little calmer. Out of a doctor's instinct, Yuan Zhonghua immediately thought that there must be wounded people after the earthquake and they must be treated. Next to it happens to be the fire brigade. Yuan Zhonghua asked his wife to wait in the same place. He rushed to the fire brigade, said he was a doctor, and asked to go to the disaster area together.

After understanding the purpose, they put Yuan Zhonghua on the fire truck and immediately went to the severely affected place in Tanzha Town.

Tanzha Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Originally Jiuzhaigou town, it was later changed to the current town name. Some roads are very narrow, and they have just experienced an earthquake. Large fire engines can't get through, and fire officers and soldiers take Yuan Zhonghua around. Just then, they heard the sound of calling for help. It turned out that an old Tibetan woman accidentally fell down the stairs when she escaped. With the help of her family, she was helped to the clearing and groaned in pain.

After getting off the bus, Yuan Zhonghua made a diagnosis and treatment for the Tibetan old woman. The initial diagnosis was a fracture of the calf, tibia and fibula. Yuan Zhonghua, together with the fire officers and soldiers, carried the grandmother on a stretcher to help transfer the wounded to the hospital.

Along the way, Yuan Zhonghua saved three people, a man and a child who were injured in the earthquake. When the fire truck couldn't sit down, Yuan Zhonghua offered to walk back to the hotel, give all the positions to the wounded and send them to the hospital as soon as possible.

When the president of Jiuzhaigou People's Hospital led a team to pick up the wounded, he saw Dr. Yuan, who was busy, and asked him to go back to the hospital to debride, sew, plaster and bandage the wounded ... Yuan Zhonghua was busy until 7 o'clock the next morning and participated in the rescue of more than a dozen wounded people.

This is the doctor's kindness. There should be more doctors like Yuan Zhonghua.
