2. Introduction to Xilin Gol Vocational College

Xilin Gol Vocational College was established in May 2003. It is a full-time institution approved by the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education. Ordinary higher vocational colleges are established from 9 colleges and universities in Xilingol League. After more than ten years of development, it has become a comprehensive higher vocational college with distinctive school-running characteristics, close integration of professional structure and regional economy, outstanding moral education and strong service capabilities. Sun Chunlan, Vice Premier of the State Council, and Liu Yandong, former Vice Prime Minister, visited the college and affirmed the college’s educational work and achievements.

It has 17 teaching units, including the Department of Medicine, the Department of Grassland Ecology and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and the Department of Mongolian Language, Culture and Art, and cooperates with Chifeng University, Inner Mongolia Normal University and other institutions to provide preschool education (Mongolian and Chinese) 8 vocational undergraduate majors such as, Mongolian medicine, nursing, and physical education (football); 52 higher vocational majors such as nursing, power plant thermal power equipment, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, broadcasting and hosting (Mongolian), and thermal power plant thermal equipment operation and maintenance , rural medicine, football and other 35 secondary vocational majors.
