Taiwan Province counterclockwise island tour guide

Taiwan Province, China's largest island, is located in the southeastern sea and has a long history and rich natural resources. Because Taiwan Province has a developed economy, well-protected natural environment, and abundant food, it is known as a popular tourist destination. Here I would like to share with you the guide for traveling around the island in a counterclockwise direction in Taiwan Province.

A long time ago, I understood the meaning of travel. Traveling is completely different from real life. This seems like an ideal country. Even when you plan what to eat, what to play, and where to live, you seem to have a sense of happiness and accomplishment.

Like an unknown candy. You won't want to eat it. You have to make a beautiful package for it, layer after layer. When the time comes, you unwrap the packaging layer by layer and enjoy the food with your taste buds.

When it melts, the remaining wrapper will become a keepsake of this candy. It can be hidden in a box for collection or framed for appreciation.

After the National Day, I finally found time to write this article. This is not a strategy. It is a simple souvenir to commemorate ideal living conditions and the face of the city.

In the autumn of 2017, I will travel around Taiwan Province with you. Every stop is worth the effort. Don't leave only shallow memories.

This trip went very smoothly, thank you. I basically went to all the planned itineraries, bought basically everything I wanted to buy, and ate basically everything I wanted to eat. The entire trip was not affected by the weather.

I have to lament that the weather in Taiwan Province is unpredictable. One minute it was raining, and the next minute the sun came out. It feels very ordinary. More importantly, the most enjoyable part of this trip was watching unedited foreign movies. The whole process of the movie proceeds step by step without any interruption in the train of thought. This feeling is really great!

The only regret I have about this trip is that I bumped around the Pacific for almost two hours, but I didn’t see any whales.

The whale watching trip failed, haha. What’s more urgent is that students who went to Taiwan Province for the National Day saw whales that morning. Woohoo, it's a pity that they didn't see the whale when they were passed out on the big waves, but it doesn't matter. Every trip is bound to have regrets. After you're fully prepared to give it your all, let others follow you. Haha, this is the attitude towards life that I want to stick to, and I will always be optimistic.

I chose a video that I personally think is a classic to show to my friends, haha. After all, videos will be more realistic and vivid than photos. This video was taken on the Qingqing Grassland. I was really scared, but I wanted to take a photo with Baba hahaha. My parents said I was "shocked and loved."

It is recommended to put shopping at the end of the entire trip as one of the must-do things.

The reason why I returned to Taipei at the last stop is because there are many kinds of shopping options in Taipei, and the most important thing is that you don’t have to carry it with you. There is a COMEX and Watsons on almost every street in Taipei. It is recommended that you go to Watsons and Kang Shimei in Ximending when you go to Ximending. This is a shopping paradise and some shops are open 24 hours so you can enjoy yourself. Watsons, Japanese pharmacies, and Kang Shimei just make me want to stop. There is also hm Uniqlo, I can shop there for a long time. Haha, my husband looked loveless and found a men's collective storage area to play with his mobile phone, hahaha. When buying skin care products in Taiwan, it is recommended to buy products from Taiwan and Japan. Morita, Sexylook’s black facial mask, and Sofina makeup cream, which is famous for daily makeup, are almost one of the products that girls buy in Bissau, Taiwan. There are also some famous Japanese eye drops, perfect for giving away, haha.

Nougat

Ruisui Ranch: We bought a large bag of nougat at the Ruisui Ranch flagship store in Hualien. The taste is not that sweet, and it also comes in small packaging and gift boxes. The nougat here is famous in Taiwan Province.

Night Market: When we visited Dongdaemun Night Market, we bought many flavors of nougat, which were longer than normal nougat. Later, when I saw it on Jiufen Street, I just wanted to say three words: it tasted terrible. Buy with caution, picker.

Pineapple Cake

1. Taichung Ruyi Tang: The taxi driver took us to try it that day. Although the taste is different, I feel like I had a full meal there. Various cakes and pastries, just ask the waiter if you need anything. A toothpick moves the entire stomach. Hubby is totally obsessed, haha. The sun cake and earth pineapple cake are really delicious. However, their prices are higher than ordinary pineapple cakes. A box of 8 pieces contains 336NT, and the packaging is exquisite. Because Taichung was only the first stop of our entire trip, we didn’t set off.

2. Vega Bakers: This is the shop where we make our own pineapple cakes and provide free tastings. I think his food tastes pretty good, but the price is not cheap. I also tried his beef jerky and it is highly recommended.

Tea residue

During the visit, I saw various advertisements for camellias from Alishan Mountain in Taiwan Province. Finally, we bought the following teas at Nintendo Tea in Taipei 101 Shopping Mall. The waiter will introduce them to you. You can try them all and choose your favorite flavor. Give someone the best gift.

Maji

We picked the full-flavored cannabis at the Ami cannabis store in Hualien. I haven't tried it before, so I didn't buy it in large quantities, but I tried it and the overall feeling is pretty good. Worth recommending ~ ~ ~ ~

Taiwan Province’s famous specialty is ginger tea and tea leaves. Because there are so many teas in Fujian, I didn’t choose tea from Taiwan. Friends who like tea may wish to buy some to take home as gifts~

Preparation before traveling

1. Certificate

Taiwan travel permit and endorsement for mainland residents. This type of pass was used when we were doing it, but Guangzhou started using card-based passes on April 24, 2017! Most other provinces have already opened it. Currently, there are 44 cities in Taiwan Province that are open to independent travel. Please Baidu yourself. You can search on Baidu for tips on how to apply for a certificate.

Taiwan Entry Permit: I found this on Taobao. As long as the documents are ready, you can get the Taiwan Entry Permit through approval in about 3 working days, and the price is acceptable, 148 RMB. The Taobao store name is here (I’m not selling haha): CITS Group Shanghai Flagship.

Second, transportation

1. Air tickets

Most people will compare prices on Ctrip, Qunar and other websites, so I won’t go into details.

I would like to recommend an app for buying cheap air tickets to my friends in the Pearl River Delta. app: Take me to fly. Flying from Macau to Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung, the round-trip tax included is around NT$600, or even lower, which is really good.

For first-hand information on how to learn about special air tickets, I would like to recommend an app to everyone. app: 16 times. This app not only has guides and travel notes about popular tourist areas, but also often has low-price promotional coupons for low-price shopping malls.

Hong Kong Express also often has special air tickets to various places in Taiwan Province. You can see it by following the official WeChat account.

2. Local transportation

High-speed rail/Taiwan Railway

Study the train timetable to plan your trip. For example, for tickets on popular routes such as Hualien to Taipei, try to book them in advance, even if you pay a handling fee through Taobao, so as not to affect your later itinerary due to temporary lack of tickets.

High-speed rail: .tw/index.html, official website

High-speed rail booking: .tw/IMINT

(Tickets can be booked 28 days in advance. 5 days in advance You have the opportunity to enjoy 65% ??off, 20% off or 10% off for early bird discounts)

tai.net/

(You can book tickets 14 days in advance. Since strong numbers are express trains, they are more comfortable. The fare is also higher than Juguang. Juguang has more stops, is slower, and has relatively cheaper fares.)

On the first day of the trip, I booked the high-speed train from Taoyuan to Taichung at Hive. It is very convenient to pick up your tickets directly on site after booking online.

For the 8th day’s itinerary, the Taiwan Railway from Hualien to Taipei was booked in advance for Xiao U’s family. They'll grab tickets for us so we don't have to keep track of time.

Carpooling/chartered car

Except for traveling independently on the 8th day, we all chose carpooling. For example, Kenting-Hualien, Hualien-Kenting, I highly recommend carpooling. There are a variety of routes to choose from when traveling on Taobao and Alibaba and playing locally in Fengchao. (After comparison, most of Fliggy’s routes are cheaper than Hive.) Carpooling is more convenient, and you can go to more places while walking. Get to know the friends you went with. Of course, everyone has their own preferred way of traveling. The key is to find a way to travel that works for you. Chartering a car is more expensive, about NT$2,800 per day, but it’s free and convenient. If 4 or more people are traveling together, sharing a hotel is also cost-effective. Friends who need carpooling routes can get them directly from me, haha.

Taxi.

Taxis in Taiwan are relatively standardized and not as plentiful as in China. Taxis in Hualien are more expensive, but taxis in Taipei are not very expensive.

MRT/bus/walking

Three treasures: Google Maps, Taipei MRT Line APP, easycard. In Taipei, most people rely on MRT and bus transportation. It is very convenient to travel to Yika, and credit cards for MRT and bus have a 20% discount. There are 711 convenience stores in various cities. Google Maps positioning is okay, it’s my husband’s map, and my husband is my map haha.

Three. Communication

WIFI router: I have read many guides, and many people have bought wf router, but we did not buy it because buying a 4g phone card is enough.

Phone Card: I bought a 4g unlimited data phone card directly from Taobao, which is generally used to communicate with hotel owners, private car drivers, and ride-sharing drivers.

Four. Accommodation

Taiwan Province’s tourism industry has been very developed. Many B&Bs are standard, clean and tidy. The key is to experience the friendliness and enthusiasm of Taiwanese people. If the strategy is not done well, the owner of the B&B will usually be very enthusiastic to help you. I booked the hotel based on its proximity to the station and night market. Based on these two conditions, I also tried Taiwan Youth Hostels in Hualien and Taiwan Province, which really allowed me to see the difference between Taiwan Youth Hostels and mainland youth hostels. I basically booked the hotel after comparing prices on websites such as Ticketing, Qunar, Ctrip, and Hive.

Recommend two youth hostels in Hualien and Taipei. The experience is really good.

1. Hualien Beehive Capsule Hotel

2. Taipei Space Capsule Hotel

1. First of all, I recommend Pearl in Taiwan Province hahaha. Milk tea is not as delicious as milk tea, but the pearls are delicious. In the next few days, I bought a cup of slightly sweet four-leaf green tea at 50 Lan and a large portion of Zhenwave Coconut. It just didn't taste good.

2. I read a lot of guides about famous snacks on the Internet. For me, I just look and think about it.

The reason is that my husband and I have never liked spending 1 or 2 hours eating something. I think time is precious and we can do a lot during this time.

In daily life, I would not hesitate to wander around a restaurant for more than half an hour. If my taste buds weren't sensitive enough, I might lose the chance to taste a lot of really delicious things.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. For me, time is probably more important. So, during the entire trip, we didn’t spend time queuing at any shop. We walked all the way, ate and drank, and ate a lot of delicious food.

3. Share the delicious food you have eaten:

During the 10 days of my stay in Taiwan Province, n

On the way back, I kept thinking about them. What is the basis of sincere enthusiasm for strangers? I think it's because of self-confidence, mutual respect, and personal self-esteem.

This trip is a test of living conditions. This place has mountains, water, distance, and you.

I am Mona and I look forward to you sharing your life with me.
