How to determine the number of room attendants according to the occupancy rate (please consider deducting national holidays and annual leave)

When determining the number of hotel rooms, occupancy rate and holidays are just some of the considerations.

Hotel rooms are mainly calculated according to the number of rooms, the expected occupancy rate, the basic room structure of the hotel, the number of basic room cleaning requirements, and of course the holidays you mentioned.

For example, a hotel has 120 rooms, and the estimated occupancy rate is 90%. It takes 30 minutes to clean a room. Employees are required to clean room 15 for at least one working day, and the hotel has four days off every month. The number of rooms is roughly as follows:

Number of rooms cleaned every day: 120*0.9= 108 rooms.

Daily cleaning number: 108/ 15=7 people.

The number of people who have a rest every month is 7*4=28 (basically one person has a rest every day).

Also consider the number of people in the middle shift and night shift (at least 2 people are needed every day)

So the number of people who need rooms (cleaning) in this hotel is 7+2 (supplementary rest) +2 (mid-night shift) = 1 1.
