Transportation

There is no direct coach from Guangzhou to Huangyao Ancient Town, so you have to transfer from Guangzhou to Babu (Hezhou).

The shuttle bus from Guangzhou to Hezhou takes the bus at Huanshi West Road Provincial Station, which runs five times a day and starts in the afternoon. The fare is 8 yuan.

There are two roads from Hezhou to Huangyao:

There are many electric tricycles from Gongqiao to Huangyao, which is about 5 kilometers away and can be reached at one yuan per person. This is the road I took when I went to Huangyao. At present, the road from Hezhou to the guild is being built, and it has been bumpy for 4.5 hours. No matter whether you are in a hurry or not, you'd better not take this road.

In Tongli, the smallest bridge should be the one-step bridge located on the lotus pond in Huancui Mountain Villa. And the bridge that best reflects the studious people in Tongli is Pu 'an Bridge, also known as Xiaodongxi Bridge. It was first built in the first year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty (156). wujinqiao is located in the northwest suburb of the town, which is the only way from Suzhou to Tongli in those days and an important entrance to the ancient town. Because the history is less attacked by wars and the impact of economic development, the original form of the village is well preserved and has always maintained the authenticity and integrity of historical development. There are 124 ancient dwellings and 3 ancestral halls in Ming and Qing dynasties, which have been listed as key cultural relics protection units in Anhui Province. Xidi Village was designated as a "World Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO in 1999.

Xidi Village is surrounded by mountains, and two clear springs pass through the village. Most of the houses in this village are built with black marble, 99 high walls and deep alleys, and unique ancient houses, which make tourists feel like they are in a maze.
