A brief discussion on impressions of India Part 2

Mumbai is a very interesting city. Just like 20 years ago, everyone liked to say that Shanghai is like New York in the United States. Indians would say that Mumbai is like Shanghai in China. However, excluding the poor areas, the rich areas are also not up to Shanghai's standards. A seawall has been built along the coast of the wealthy area. It is said that there are many couples walking on it in the evening. However, after I walked once during the day and found that the sea water can be more yellow than the water of the Huangpu River, I was not willing to walk a second time.

Rich people in India have a rich nightlife. The hotel I stayed in had a bar, and a bottle of foreign wine cost several thousand dollars. They drank it without any pressure, just like I drank mineral water. One day when I returned to the hotel from work, I saw a large group of women dressed up at the door. Later, when I asked about it, I found out that a certain rich man had booked a party and invited all models. It was really eye-opening.

India is not just for the rich, the poor are the main body of India. By chance, although I didn't go to the poor to learn more about it, I took a ride on the Dudu bus in India (I'm sorry I forgot what it is called in India, but it's similar to the tuk-tuk in Thailand, so let's call it that). It's a micro electric tricycle. The driver was probably a young man. He didn't wear shoes and was driving very fast. He had to bargain for the fare. It is said that owning an electric tricycle is a dream for poor people, and many people have to work for many years to achieve it. So being able to drive a tuk-tuk is considered a successful person in the poor man's nightmare. Friendly reminder: Women should never sit alone in this kind of tuk-tuk without a man, and they should not ride even if there is a man with them at night.

There is also McDonald's in India. Unfortunately, after I paid, I discovered that the chicken wings are very small and black. I have not been to many places in the world, only about ten or twenty, and India is the only country that has it. I didn’t dare to eat the black fried chicken wings at McDonald’s, which was a waste of food. I also visited a few of their local shopping malls. The security is very strict. Just like entering a train station in China, everything must be scanned and bags must be opened and inspected. However, there are no poor people in shopping malls. Just like hotels, not only people have to go through security checks, but also all vehicles entering and exiting have to go through security checks.

Many people are saying that you can only drink bottled water in India. Inaccurate, the bottled water you should import must be a big-name bottled water, not a local brand in India. Nestlé and Coca-Cola have bottled water to buy. Buy it by the box, because you must use it to brush your teeth and rinse your mouth, otherwise you will end up in an Indian hospital. It will make you more miserable.
