The Post-reading Composition of The Prophetic Hunter

I will read Turgenev's Hunter's Notes when I have time recently. Only when I really relax, read with my heart and feel with my heart can I discover the beauty contained in the works and the realistic brilliance reflected by the works.

What impressed me the most was The Village of Ligoff, which mainly depicted Vladimir and Su Ke Qiao. Vladimir was deeply poisoned by the social atmosphere at that time, flattering the upper class, discriminating against the lower class and satirizing people who were not as good as him. He is a poor man.

What impressed me the most was Su, an old man of about 60 years old, "barefoot, ragged and unkempt, like a domestic servant who lost his job", and his voice was "tired and weak". A character living at the bottom of society is vividly portrayed.

His life experience has taught him to obey. Sold six or seven times in his life, only sold or inherited as an accessory to the land. Occupation is not his choice. Chef, coachman, actor, boatman ... everything depends on the likes and dislikes of the owner. In the face of the protagonist's question, Su respectfully replied. All ugliness has squeezed his expectation of life to the level of an animal. "I am very grateful to have a mouth to eat." Not to mention other "human rights". The eccentric mistress of feudal serfdom was unmarried for life, so everyone would not be allowed to get married. Poor and kind, he wished her "go to heaven".

Of course, he did not resist. When the boat finally fell into the water because it was overwhelmed, Ye Er Mali didn't blame herself for overturning the boat to catch a dead duck and eventually sinking it. Sue was the first person to reprimand. And Sue just answered "It's all my fault". Yes, he only knows obedience. Will he defend himself? Does he still have the ability to think? ……

When he finally returned to the shore, another coachman asked Lai Su to attract him. Sue, an exhausted old man, "felt sick, vomited and coughed after smoking a cigarette", but he looked "quite satisfied". It seems very sad. Perhaps for him, it is a satisfaction to be able to control his behavior freely. Health is beyond their consideration, and what true happiness looks like is something they will never know and enjoy.

Turgenev's delicate and subtle brushwork vividly depicts the miserable life and strangled spirit of serfs living at the bottom, and his language is exquisite, so he is worthy of being an outstanding master of realism.
