In recent years, several times a year, I have been driving long distances with my family and friends, camping in deserted places and staying for a while, or doing nothing but chatting and watching the stars in Shan Ye, fields and desert snowfields. Life goes slowly, slowly.

In the city, people race against time, and time is precious. Here, no kidding, time is wasted. We will not be disturbed by too many things, and will not be bound by the value that time can exchange. Perhaps, slowly "wasting" can gain more.

Before the young trees in the yard are planted, the sown barley seeds grow quickly.

It's close to Beijing, so it's an hour's drive. It won't be long on the road, and you can often swing between busy city life and quiet seclusion. The environment here is not too bad. Although there is no extreme scenery, the World Cultural Heritage "Ming Tombs" is nearby. You can find that the so-called windward water imperial mausoleum is really amazing. The city is foggy, out of the rankings, and the blue sky is still there.

This is not a farmhouse, and we are not going to experience farm life. We still need comfortable and quality days. This is not a resort hotel, and we will not be distracted by various leisure projects. We need to "waste" time freely, so as to catch our breath and relax.

There are no ready-made meals here, but fresh green ingredients are served. We encourage family and friends to cook a big meal together. This process is much more pleasant than the result. A time of emotional communication such as "humility, tolerance and enthusiasm" is gradually stimulated.

The kitchen here is not hiding in a corner, not the messy image in the usual impression, but full of sunshine, like a stage, all open and facing the yard. Among them, the console is also separated from the wall, so people can not only gather face to face, but also let the chef stand in the center of the stage, facing his family and enjoying envy and praise brightly. The distant mountains with high window frames also add a bit of leisurely poetry to the sharp increase.

There are no standard hotel rooms here, but five completely different single-family suites, some facing the mountain, some round near the water, like several big toys with different personalities, scattered on high platforms. People can try different experiences every time they come.

There is no grand narrative building space, nor expensive and complicated materials and methods, which is a common brick and wood in rural areas in the north. We just made some adjustments in scale and form, and degraded or alienated the building by planting roof climbing plants, so that people can truly experience the harmony with light and wind, mountains and water, hoping to form a soothing, simple and gentle space atmosphere. People don't have so many purposes here, but they may feel more.

No head, no tail, wasting time slowly, I don't know what will happen, we are with family and friends.

Shidao Mountain Residence is located in Weihai City, Shandong Province. The owners are well-known domestic science and technology enterprises, and they are rooted in Shandong. The original intention of the project was an enterprise club, and later it was gradually characterized as a small boutique cultural hotel.

Shidao Mountain Residence is defined as Goer's spiritual home, which values the meaning of "home" and hopes that Shidao Mountain Residence can respond to some essential needs of people.

Architecture is not a self-sufficient existence, but a foothold for people between heaven and earth. The relationship between house and environment, house and house, house and people has shaped this place. Architecture has become a layout, which is inspired by the dialogue among mountains, water, trees, stones, flowers, doors, walls, bridges, steps and eaves. Each part is relatively independent and interlocking.

Firstly, the design determines the relatively loose topological relationship between buildings and the environment, and between buildings. In the interaction of each part, through constant adjustment, the precise relationship and placement position of each place are finally determined in the shock. This is an accurate and fuzzy game.

The houses in the village are similar, but each one is different, because the specific conditions and needs are different, just like the growing buildings.

Sipo has a strong aura, calling for a world that is not disturbed by other things. In a structural form, changes will also be made: whether the space under the eaves is needed, how deep the eaves need to be built, and whether the pillars in the corner need to be removed to create a continuous space. These are the needs that the house needs to respond to during its growth.

This project has a long process from design to completion, and the design period has been iterative. Together with the owner, the design team spent a year and a half determining the architectural design, discussing life together, establishing knowledge and pursuing suitable temperament.

The continuous and equal communication between the design team and the owner has made this house a veritable creation of both sides. It is not a random transplant, nor is it an architect's narcissistic "work". It has the temperament of belonging to the north and Shandong, and it also has the future-oriented spiritual temperament that this land wants.

Because the site conditions are complex, the original materials are incomplete and imprecise, and there are many problems encountered in the construction process, it is very necessary to stay at the site all the time. In this process, it is full of collision, optimization, iteration and change. Many unforgettable design decisions are made on site, and there are a lot of on-site judgments and adjustments.

Under such a working method, the final result will show an unconventional openness, fluidity and richness, because it is based on the simple practice of localization, not entirely a closed and exquisite mental product.
