Taichung Port is an artificial port, which has the advantages of broad development space, great plasticity, convenient external transportation, strict safety management measures, comprehensive computerized operation and single window service. Taichung Port was an important port of call for mainland fishing boats before the Qing Dynasty. Later, due to gradual siltation, Taichung Port was rebuilt in 1958.
