What fabric is satin cotton?

Question 1: What is the material of satin? Is it cotton? Satin fabric: At least one warp and weft are interwoven in every three yarns, so the satin weave makes the fabric denser, so the fabric is thicker. The cost of satin weave products is higher than that of similar plain weave and twill weave products. Fabrics woven with satin weave are collectively called satin fabrics. Satin fabric can be divided into two sides, and there are the least interweaving points and the longest floating lines in a complete weave cycle. The surface of the fabric is almost entirely composed of warp or weft floating lines, and the satin fabric is soft. The cloth surface is smooth, delicate and full of luster.

The most common satin fabric is striped satin, or simply satin. There are two kinds of fabrics: 40 pieces of 2m 4 width satin strips and 60 pieces of 2m 8 width satin strips. Weave first and then dye. This kind of fabric is usually solid color. Extend as a horizontal bar. The pure cotton fabric has slight shrinkage, no pilling and is not easy to shed.

Jacquard fabric: When weaving, the fabric forms patterns with the change of warp and weft weave, and the yarn count is fine, which requires extremely high raw cotton. The weaving and dyeing process of monochrome jacquard fabric is different from that of multicolor jacquard fabric. Monochrome jacquard is a kind of jacquard dyed fabric-jacquard grey fabric is woven by jacquard loom before dyeing and finishing, and the finished product is solid color. Multicolor jacquard is a kind of yarn-dyed jacquard fabric ―― yarn is dyed first, then woven on jacquard loom, and finally finished. Therefore, yarn-dyed jacquard fabrics have more than two colors, which are rich in color, not monotonous, strong in three-dimensional sense and high in grade. The width of the fabric is 2.5 meters, and the pure cotton fabric has shrunk slightly, so it is not pilling or fading.

Question 2: Which fabric is more comfortable, cotton or satin? Cotton is just an ingredient. There are satin fabrics, depending on your yarn count density.

Satin fabric, also known as satin cloth, is a kind of fabric with complicated weaving process. Satin fabric is a combed fabric with a density of 173* 124C, in which warp and weft are interwoven at least once every three yarns. Because of its excellent quality, it was named as an emperor's tribute. Fabric features: soft texture, smooth surface, good elasticity, good air permeability, smooth fabric, good hand feeling and high process cost.

Question 3: Isn't the satin fabric necessarily pure cotton? At first, it refers to silk, polyester or cotton.

Direct tribute refers to cotton satin.

Question 4: What fabric is the tribute? First, please understand these three concepts: plain weave, twill weave and satin weave.

Plain weave: the fabric woven with plain weave is called plain weave. That is, warp yarns and weft yarns interweave every other yarn (that is, the yarns are 1 and 1). This kind of fabric is characterized by many interweaving points, firm texture and smooth surface. High-grade embroidered fabrics are generally plain fabrics.

Twill: The warp and weft yarns are interwoven at least once every two yarns, that is, 2 up 1 or 3 up 1. By adding warp and weft interweaving points, the fabric structure is changed, which is collectively called twill fabric. This kind of cloth is characterized by its thick texture and strong three-dimensional effect. There are 30, 40 and 60 branches.

Satin: Warp and weft are interwoven at least once every three yarns, so the satin weave makes the fabric denser, so the fabric is thicker. The cost of satin weave products is higher than that of similar plain weave and twill weave products. The cloth surface is smooth, delicate and full of luster. Plain weave, twill weave and satin weave are three basic ways of warp and weft interweaving. There is no specific distinction between good and bad, but each has its own characteristics, among which satin is definitely a boutique in pure cotton fabrics.

Let's talk about satin in detail.

Satin should be divided into four concepts: satin grain, satin stripe, satin lattice and satin jacquard.

A Taobao friend asked what is fabric satin? In fact, through the introduction just now, you have understood that plain, twill and satin are satin fabrics, not specific fabrics.

The most common satin fabric is striped satin, or simply satin. Texture is an extension of horizontal stripes (see figure). Weave first and then dye. This kind of fabric is usually solid color. No pilling and no fading.

There is also a kind of satin called satin lattice, which is also a solid color and a plaid pattern (see picture).

Satin strips and satin lattices are generally the raw materials for hotel bedding, which are cheap, luxurious and practical.

Satin and satin are also used to make household clothes, but they are far less popular than satin jacquard fabrics.

Jacquard fabric: The pattern on the fabric is woven, not ordinary printing or embroidery. When the fabric is woven, the warp and weft weave changes to form patterns, the yarn count is small, the needle and thread density is high, and it is not deformed or faded when used, and the comfort is good. Jacquard is very popular in the market at present, and satin bedding looks high-grade and tasteful. To distinguish the quality of satin, we should compare the yarn count and density.

Satin also talks about yarn count. Let's talk about counting first, which is what we often see, 30, 40, 60 and so on! For example, 30 yuan is also called 30S by friends, which is the same, and there is no difference! So what exactly is counting? I understand it this way:

Count is the standard of yarn thickness. For example, one or two cotton can be made into 30 yarns 1 m, that is, 30 yarns, while one or two cotton can be made into 40 yarns 1 m, that is, 40 yarns; 1 cotton can be made into 60 yarns with a length of 1 m, that is, 60 yarns. In fact, the higher the yarn count, the thinner the yarn and the softer and more comfortable the cloth is. However, high count fabrics require high quality of raw materials (cotton) and high requirements for yarn mills and textile mills, so the cost of fabrics is relatively high. High count cloth is not suitable for bedding, because it is too thin! In Dieshi Home Textile Base, more than 60 pieces of satin are rarely used as bedding. There are not many factories in China that can make 80 pieces of cloth. Don't think that if 80 pieces of cloth are missing, it will be expensive. I haven't seen it, just heard of it. And as far as I know, 80 yuan of bedding has not been released in China!

Let me talk about the density of cloth again. This is a data that people don't pay much attention to, but the most important thing is that in the industry, satin fabrics are basically not counted, and only * * is multiplied by * * (for example, 1 10*90,128 * 68,65 * 78,133). In a unit area, the more warp and weft density, the better the fabric quality. Generally, fabrics with warp and weft density of more than 30 counts and fabric density (warp density+weft density) of more than 180 counts/square inch are called high count and high density fabrics. For example, 40 pieces of satin 133X95 belong to high count and low density, and 40 pieces of satin 173 X 124 belong to high count and high density. For example, the satin fabrics in our store (40 pieces of satin 173 X 124) come from the well-known sunshine hotel jewelry company in Dieshi, so many people use sunshine cloth.

Question 5: Which is better, satin or pure cotton? Pure cotton is mainly good for keeping warm.

Satin has a cool surface and is suitable for summer use.

Satin won't get smaller after washing, and it won't get bigger after using it for a long time, but it's easier to hook silk and break a big hole when hooked.

Pure cotton will become smaller after washing, but the longer it takes, the more it will be used. Now my quilt cover is bigger than the one inside, but it is not easy to hook, and it is more durable than satin. The only drawback is that it is used more and more, hehe ~

But it feels more comfortable to cover it with pure cotton.

Some people with bad skin can only be covered with pure cotton.

Question 6: What's the difference between satin fabric and pure cotton fabric? Originally refers to silk, polyester or cotton.

Direct tribute refers to cotton satin.

Question 7: Which fabric composition is better, mercerized cotton or satin cotton? Mercerized cotton fabric is better and more comfortable to wear.

Question 8: What is pure cotton satin? It is a relatively high-end beautiful and comfortable fabric.

Satin: Warp and weft are interwoven at least once every three yarns, so the satin weave makes the fabric denser, so the fabric is thicker. The cost of satin weave products is higher than that of similar plain weave and twill weave products. The cloth surface is smooth, delicate and full of luster.

Pure cotton is a component of fabric. Satin fabric is a kind of satin weave fabric with complicated weaving process. Warp floats on the surface of the fabric, so combed yarns are generally used, including 60 extremely light and 30 slightly thick combed fabrics, with a weight of 100-200g/m2. There is also elastic satin, which is of higher grade. Because of its soft luster, it is the most distinctive product in pure cotton fabrics, so it is the first choice for high-grade pants or windbreakers.

Question 9: What is satin 1? Basic concept: Satin fabric, also known as satin cloth, is a kind of fabric with complicated weaving process. At least three warp yarns and weft yarns are separated.

Satin jacquard pink fabric

A combed fabric with yarns interwoven only once and the density is 173* 124CM. Because of its excellent quality, it was named as an emperor's tribute.

2. Production technology: (1) In the textile process, warp and weft yarns are interwoven at least once every three yarns to form a unique pattern, and there must be at least five warp/weft yarns in a complete weave;

(2) The interweaving times of warp and weft are less than twill, independent and discontinuous, and there is basically no crossing;

(3) There are longer warp/weft yarns covering the fabric surface;

Sichuan (4) is generally 40 ~ 60 yarns;

(5) The carding density is173 *124 cm;

(6) The fabric is mercerized in the printing and dyeing process, which increases the brightness and softness of the fabric;

Satin jacquard fabric

(7) The fabric itself needs high density and the cost is high.

3. Fabric features: soft texture, smooth surface, good elasticity, good air permeability, smooth fabric and good hand feeling, which took a lot of skills.
