Is Xijiang Miao Village fun? Arrive in Kaili on the afternoon of August 4th.
Just out of the railway station, many drivers shouted "Xijiang Miao Village! Xijiang Miao Village! Miao village can't go! " I'm not in a hurry to go to Miao village. I plan to stay in Kaili for one night first.
I got to know Kaili through the roadside picnic directed by Bi Gan. The film tells the story of a village doctor living in Kaili who went to a strange town called "Dangmai" to find his nephew and experienced a series of fantastic stories. Located in the southeast of Guizhou. When I saw this movie, I thought, I will go to Qiandongnan in the future. In less than a year, this wish came true.
Kaili is the capital of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, which governs Kaili City and 15 County, and there are 33 ethnic minorities living in it, of which Miao has the largest number, followed by Dong. Qiandongnan Prefecture has the saying that "nine mountains, half water and half fields", so Kaili also has obvious terrain ups and downs, which is the same feature of my next week's trip.
The name "Kaili" comes from Miao language, which means "Mulao's field". In Miao language, Mulao people are called "Kai" and "Tian" is called "Li". As for what is "Woodenhead", it is said that it is also a minority, and it has not been officially recognized yet.
Behind the residence, there is a path surrounded by railings on both sides. The walls are covered with colorful pictures depicting the customs of ethnic minorities in Kaili, including playing Lusheng and holding long table banquets. Lively and lively, it is estimated that it is a characteristic path with propaganda nature.
Carey's taxi has a green body and is covered with forest like the surrounding mountains.
In the evening, I walk on Beijing West Road in Kaili, which is the bustling street of this city. Rows of tall street lamps stand on both sides of the road, in the shape of magnolia, emitting white light.
I didn't stay in Kaili for long. The next morning, we bought tickets to Xijiang Town at Kaiyun Temple Bus Station, each person 16 yuan, and the journey took about an hour.
When the bus drove out of the city and entered the suburbs, it gradually seemed to pass by. The ordinary brick houses on both sides disappeared, and the wooden diaojiao building occupied the line of sight. The roof is covered with black tiles and has a silver horn ornament. Based on this, it is speculated that cattle should be sacred to Miao people. The building is made of wood, and the color is similar to the local soil. The weather in Guizhou is changeable, humid and foggy, and the diaojiao building is built on the mountain with good ventilation, which has become a major feature of local houses.
Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is the largest Miao Village in the world. Before entering the gate of the scenic spot, grandmothers dressed in Miao costumes stood in a row to express their welcome to tourists. The Miao grandfather wears a headscarf and plays lusheng, which makes people feel full of vision and hearing, and also makes people feel that this is a completely commercialized tourist attraction from the outside.
After entering the main street, we saw people crowded and carrying luggage. We plan to find a place to live first. After crossing a wind and rain bridge and climbing the steps, the inn of Xijiang Miao Village was built along the mountain, distributed at the foot of the mountain, the mountainside and the top of the mountain. Generally speaking, the farther you go to the top of the mountain, the better the scenery and the higher the price. I don't know where I read a sentence on the internet. The inn here always exceeds demand, so it's not necessary to book in advance, and it's no trouble to find it again when you arrive.
However, when we arrived, it was the tourist season, and many inns were full early. It was noon, and the hunger in our stomachs made us unbearable. We advanced to a restaurant halfway up the mountain and ordered two bowls of beef powder, using local rice flour, which was very fragrant and delicious. One bowl was 15 yuan, which was quite affordable in the scenic spot.
After eating, I found that this store also provides accommodation. By the way, the ordinary double room has no air conditioning, and the bathroom is public. The price is 180 yuan. Miao village is not cold, the high temperature is 34 degrees. We need an air-conditioned room to rest, so we will continue to look for it. Later, I found a Tuwo Inn, which happened to be the check-out of a tour group. The double room in 280 yuan has air conditioning and a private bathroom. It rained the day before, and the room was wet and the sound insulation was poor. People upstairs will crunch on the floor when they walk, which seems to be the nature of diaojiao building. This inn is in a good location, with a terrace and a good view. We were out of breath climbing on the mountain road, so we stayed.
Go to Yanhe Street in the afternoon. There are many girls wearing Miao costumes taking pictures by the river. Rent a suit to take photos 10 yuan is not expensive. People have been asking me if I want to take pictures, but it was hot and I didn't want to toss, so I declined one by one.
In addition to colorful costumes, Miao people are also famous for their silver ornaments, which are beautiful in size, weight and variety. Just passing a stall, all shiny silver ornaments. In a silver stall I photographed, the Miao grandmother fell asleep in her chair.
Miao people like to eat glutinous rice. Steamed glutinous rice, bamboo rice, and glutinous rice cake can be seen everywhere in food stalls, rolled into small balls and wrapped in sesame powder, peanuts and the like. Take a bite, it is fragrant and sticky, sweet but not greasy. The Baba trough is placed on the edge of the booth, and customers can experience the feeling of smashing by themselves.
You can see all kinds of crispy snacks along the way. There are cakes all over the street in Wang Miao, and there is a small cake whose name I forget. Put it on a sieve and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Master shakes the sieve and sesame powder will stick to the cake evenly.
There is a Miao museum in the scenic area, which shows the history and customs of the Miao people. No sooner had we entered the museum than it rained heavily, which just allowed us to take shelter from the rain and get to know the customs of the Miao nationality.
Miao people in southeastern Guizhou believe in primitive religions of animism. Miao people's ancient singing: wind produces fog, fog produces clouds, and clouds produce rain. When the rain fell to the ground, a maple tree grew out. When the maple tree grew up, there were two birds singing in the branches, but this song angered the goddess under the tree. The goddess cut down the maple tree in a rage, but the heart of the tree turned into a butterfly. Butterflies and foam on the water "swim" (love) give birth to twelve eggs after pregnancy, which are hatched by spiny birds for twelve years, and finally twelve ancient ancestors-Jiang Yang (man), Lei Gong, Dragon King, elephant, cow, sheep, chicken, snake, centipede, bobcat, tiger and dog are born.
From this perspective, human ancestors came from the crystallization of butterflies and bubbles, and this origin story is somewhat beautiful.
Miao nationality is an ancient nation, and it is said that it is the descendant of Chiyou. They inherited the tradition of cow totem, worshipped buffalo, dressed men and women, and wore silver horns. The Miao people are doomed. There have been several great migrations in history, and now they are scattered all over the world, concentrated in the southwest of China and Southeast Asia in the world. Legend has it that Miao people once had characters in ancient times, which may be homologous to Chinese characters, but they were later lost. As for Miao surnames, they can be translated into Chinese surnames through various rules, some of which are very interesting. Because of their complexity, they will not be expanded here.
In printing technology, Miao people are good at batik. It is to draw flowers on the cloth with a wax knife dipped in melted wax, dip in indigo, and remove wax after dyeing, so that the cloth surface presents various patterns of white flowers on a blue background or blue flowers on a white background. In the dip dyeing, because the wax in resist agent naturally cracks, the cloth surface presents special "ice particles", which is particularly eye-catching.
Outside the hall of Miao Diaojiao Building, a unique S-shaped arc bar chair is often installed in the suspended corridor. Folk have the reputation of "beauty leaning", because girls often choose flower embroidery here to show their charm, hence the name.
After the rain stopped, we walked out of the museum, and then the farmland was green. Carp are raised in rice fields here, and rice field fish are mostly used in local sour soup fish. Opposite is a neat terrace, and there is a waterwheel under it to facilitate water diversion to the terrace. I happened to see two children walking on the ridge, free and easy.
