Lufeng World Dinosaur Valley is located in Dinosaur Mountain, Ana Village, Chuanjie Township, 23 kilometers south of Lufeng County, Chuxiong Prefecture. The scenic spot covers an area of ***3.6 square kilometers, and the first phase of the core scenic spot has an investment of 500 million. It was completed and opened in April 2008. The world dinosaur valley reproduces a lost Jurassic era. World Dinosaur Valley is a dinosaur cultural tourism theme park integrating site protection, sightseeing, leisure and popular science research, and it is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The park is divided into "dinosaur site research and sightseeing area" and "Jurassic World" tourist area. From 1938 to now, Lufeng has unearthed more than 120 individual dinosaur fossils, spanning the early, middle and late Jurassic. Chinese and foreign experts believe that Lufeng is one of the richest, most complete, oldest and most primitive dinosaur fossils unearthed in the world so far, and it is the hometown of China's fear of dragons. In 2004, Lufeng was announced as the third batch of national geological parks.
