Those who disclose company secrets, if the circumstances are minor, will be subject to administrative punishment by the company and bear certain liability for compensation. If the circumstances are serious and cause heavy losses to the company, it constitutes a crime of infringing on trade secrets and will be subject to criminal punishment. Article 219th of the Criminal Law commits one of the following acts of infringing on trade secrets, thus causing heavy losses to the holder of trade secrets, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, and shall also or only be fined; Whoever causes especially serious consequences shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined.
