Is the imperial city auspicious symbol worth visiting?

Those who like history and culture are worth seeing.

The Imperial City Xiangfu is located in Yangcheng, Shanxi Province. Because it is the former residence of Chen Tingjing, a scholar of Wenyuange in Qing Dynasty and a teacher of Emperor Kangxi, it attracts much attention and is full of mystery.

The Imperial City Xiangfu is an official residence, but it is also a unique castle-style building complex in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, known as the Oriental Castle. Xiangfu is built on the mountain and divided into inner and outer cities. It also has couplets inscribed by Kangxi on "Wu Ting Mountain Village" and "Shade in Spring, Flowers in Autumn", which are still well preserved.

The imperial city is shaped like a turtle, also known as the turtle city. The garden of the academy is winding and secluded, and the carving of the house is even more vivid. Heshan Building is the most representative architectural feature here. It was built to resist bandits at that time. It looks like a watchtower in Guangdong. There are windows above the third floor, all of which are masonry structures. Without wood, 1000 people can hide in times of danger. It also has a secret passage to other places, which is usually used to store food and living equipment. Xiangfu's architecture is a masterpiece of ancient architecture in Shanxi.

The imperial city is the residence of Chen Jiazu. From the end of the Ming Dynasty to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, there were countless imperial examiners in this family, six of whom joined Hanlin, and they were praised as the first cultural giant in the north because their father and son edited Kangxi Dictionary. Among them, Chen Tingjing, a great scholar at Wenyuange in Qing Dynasty and a lecturer for Emperor Kangxi for 35 years, is particularly prominent. In Xiangfu, many buildings and furnishings can still feel the Chen family's emphasis on culture and education. The plaques and couplets presented by Emperor Kangxi expressed respect and gratitude to the teachers.
