There are 3000 hotels in Xishuangbanna. How to choose the best experience?

I went to Xishuangbanna at the end of October.

Before going, my colleague asked me, what's interesting there? It is better to go to Xishuangbanna than to Thailand.

I asked them, can you go to Thailand? They thought on second thought, alas, I can't go abroad, and finally found that I am smarter.

Vision in Thailand

Winter is the peak season for tourism in Southeast Asia. The farther south, the higher the temperature. No matter the snow and ice in the north or the cold wind in the south, it takes one second to enter summer in Thailand.

The feeling of Xishuangbanna is actually somewhat similar to that of Chiang Mai. This is because they all belong to the same country in history, that is, Lana Dynasty.

Most of them believe in Buddhism spread to the south, and Buddhism has also had a strong impact on their daily lives. In Chiang Mai, we can see pagodas everywhere, while in Xishuangbanna, the same Buddhist temples and pagodas are all over the villages.

Therefore, when many people come to Xishuangbanna, they will have the illusion of straying into Thailand.

But the similarity is different. It is too small to regard Xishuangbanna as a substitute for Thailand.

In the future, with the adoption of the Trans-Asian High-speed Railway (estimated at 20021), Xishuangbanna will make use of the resource advantages of Southeast Asia, become the frontier of China people's international travel to Southeast Asia, and be in the center of the Trans-Asian High-speed Railway Economic Circle.

It may become one of the most potential holiday resorts in Southeast Asia. Shortly before I went, Ma Yun also went to Xishuangbanna.

After 1 1 month every year, the rainy season is over, which is the most suitable time to go to Xishuangbanna. Even in the coldest winter, the average temperature in Xishuangbanna is 16, and the temperature at noon often exceeds 25.

It's really comfortable just by imagining.

If you want to have a great xishuangbanna tourism experience in a short time, I think the two most important things are: choosing the right hotel and matching the scenic spots.

Choosing the right hotel is actually more than half the success. Today, I will focus on the hotel strategy, lightning protection methods of scenic spots and food recommendation in Xishuangbanna, and leave it for the next issue.

Hotels in Xishuangbanna, like hotels in Sanya, can be divided according to price and characteristics.

The second stall: Intercontinental, Yuejingzhuang Huajiantang, Crowne Plaza Resort, Pullman Resort, Sheraton Hotel, Xishuangbanna Wanglian Hotel (near Banna Tropical Botanical Garden) and Yuechun Resort (near Jinlian Hot Spring Resort).

In the most popular Gaozhuang scenic spot in Xishuangbanna, there are three-level theme homestays everywhere, which are easy to be cheated, but there are also cost-effective ones. It's up to you to distinguish this file.

What needs to be added is that in addition to paying attention to the price of the hotel, everyone should take a closer look at the location of the hotel. This is too important.

To choose a hotel in Xishuangbanna, you must first know one city and two counties, Jinghong City, Mengla County and Menghai County.

There are nearly 3,000 hotels (homestays) in these three areas, most of which are mainly in Jinghong city.

The business districts with the highest popularity ranking in Jinghong are: Shuangjing District in Gaozhuang West, Splashing Water Plaza and Sunac International Resort.

Jinghong city is actually small, so the taxi trip is basically around 10-25 yuan, so there is no need to be particularly entangled.

What needs attention is Menghai County or Mengla County.

For example, Wang Lian Hotel or Anantara Hotel is located in the Tropical Botanical Garden of China Academy of Sciences in Mengla County. If you go, it will be very troublesome to go downtown, unless you charter a car or rent a car.

But this doesn't mean that you can't choose hotels in surrounding counties, because there will still be many people who don't like to run scenic spots and punch in various restaurants.

Every hotel has its own way of opening Xishuangbanna. Living in a botanical garden, you can watch plants and interact with fireflies at night, and living in a wild tent also has a great experience.

This still depends on personal needs.

If you live in a botanical garden, you will have the experience of watching fireflies at night.

I stayed in Xishuangbanna for four nights, and most people stayed for four or five days. I recommend 2+2 hotel collocation.

For example: two nights intercontinental+two nights Sunac Wenhua, this should be regarded as a general version of hotel collocation, especially suitable for people who come to Xishuangbanna for the first time. This is my choice.

For example, two nights in Sunac Wenhua+two nights in Crown Hotel, because Wenhua, Crown and Pullman are all affiliated to Wanda Sunac Resort Hotel, and their locations are connected. This combination is cost-effective and convenient to change hotels.

For example: two nights intercontinental+two nights berthing, these two are relatively close.

There are many ways to match, but it still depends on personal needs.

It should be noted that when doing 2+2 collocation, you must choose the second gear two days ago and the first gear two days later, because it is difficult to go from luxury to frugality. From a relatively ordinary room to a luxurious villa, there will be a sense of happiness.

In addition, try not to change hotels every day, which will delay your trip and make you very tired.

The framework of the hotel has been decided, so it is more convenient for us to match the scenic spots and make some itinerary arrangements.

For example, two days ago, I will arrange a trip that needs to go out all day, like the Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Because if you live in Wenhua's villa and go out all day, it's not worthwhile.

I stayed in the hotel for the next two days, went to see Dai Xiu in the evening and participated in some hotel experience projects.

If you adjust your rhythm like this, you won't be so tired and you can really take a vacation.

In the part of hotel experience, I will focus on the two hotels I stayed in this time: Intercontinental and Sunac Mandarin.

intercontinental

In my opinion, the biggest advantage of Intercontinental lies in the integration of hotel architecture and regional environment and humanities. It used to be the Dai palace in Xishuangbanna, but today's hotel architecture retains this luxurious palace style.

The towering golden pagoda, exquisite cornices, golden main colors, water and the roots of Dai culture are all fully displayed here.

The hotel is designed by Peridian, an award-winning international architecture company, and skillfully uses the local natural landscape to decorate the garden in a patchwork way.

When you enter the hotel, you will be in the tropical rain forest, and you will feel from time to time: this environment is too good.

Whether you walk into the lobby from the door or into the restaurant from the guest room, the environment of the path is cleverly designed.

During the day, light will pass through hollow wooden buildings. The space is transparent around, and the seats in the bar can get sunshine.

Living on the mainland feels like living in the back garden of a palace. Without leaving the hotel, you can see: dense tropical rain forests, luxurious palace buildings like Dai Palace, landscape gardens and terraces with Southeast Asian customs, peacocks, goats, geese, chickens and ducks raised in the hotel. ...

After living in intercontinental, I feel that this hotel is quite suitable for families with children, because only parents know how tired it is to take children to scenic spots.

On the intercontinental, many natural interests can be completed in hotels. After all, this is a hotel with terraced fields, and children who usually live in cities can rarely get close to nature.

Here, you can also experience transplanting rice as a family.

Peacocks come out for a walk from 8: 30 to 10: 00 every day. Children can get close to small animals on the grass.

The hotel's supporting facilities are also complete, including rich outdoor leisure areas and irregular arc outdoor swimming pools, which are really enough for children to play. Lying in a hotel with children like this is not happy.

Let's talk about the room type first. The most common superior room in the hotel covers an area of 50 square meters, and all rooms have independent viewing balconies. Push open the French window, and the towering trees are in front of you.

Hotels at this price can only look at the sky when they open their doors in the city.

Some details of the hotel are also well done, such as the drum stick design at the door and some Dai decorations in the room.

Moreover, the waiter greets warmly every day, and there are welcome fruits in the room every day.

However, there are some minor problems, such as being in the jungle, and there must be bugs. Therefore, the balcony door must be closed and mosquito repellent prepared.

In addition, the walls around the balcony will be mottled, and the hotel facilities feel a little old and need to be improved.

Finally, talk about the hotel restaurant. There are six restaurants and bars with different styles on the continent, which can punch in the cards in turn, Chinese food, Thai food, Dai food, Yunnan food, and a special peacock dinner for two.

We didn't try them one by one, because they were all outside, mainly because we had a buffet breakfast in the hotel. There are still many kinds of breakfast, and the most popular one is rice noodles that can be cooked on the spot.

We use the membership card of IHG, members' seats, and special Cantonese steamed chicken feet. It's good to unlock the hidden menu.

Rongchuang Wenhua

Wanda Mandarin Hotel Sunac Xishuangbanna is located in Sunac xishuangbanna tourism Resort. This is another large-scale international resort of Wanda after Sanya and Changbai Mountain. The investment alone cost 40 billion.

Compared with the intercontinental, the advantage here lies in the supporting facilities first. After all, Wanda spent so much money.

There is the largest commercial city in Xishuangbanna: wanda plaza; There are hotel groups scattered in the rainforest centered on stupa: Mandarin, Pullman and Crowne Plaza Hotel; There is an outdoor playground; Youdaixiu theatre ...

It feels like a one-stop service. Living in this area, the surrounding projects are fun enough and close to the airport.

Here, I actually have an impulse to buy a house.

Back to the topic, apart from enjoying the supporting facilities of Sunac Resort, Mandarin is also the best GUI among the three hotels here.

This hotel is dominated by holiday villas. All rooms are 137 flat townhouses, and all rooms are in the mini golf sightseeing bus.

Living in a villa is really different from living in a guest room. The privacy here is better, because the area is larger and more open, and all rooms have their own infinite swimming pool.

So the holiday experience is very good.

When you live in it, you will feel that you don't want to go anywhere. Many guests here like to order food in the guest room.

There is also a courtyard in front of the room, equipped with leisure chairs and sun umbrellas. The garden is covered with green tropical vegetation. You can sit here and drink tea.

In addition to the infinity pool outside, the guest room actually has a large bathtub with a view, and it is also equipped with an embedded LCD TV.

I really want to lie down comfortably.

What impressed me was the room service at night.

After cleaning the room, they will put the water you want to drink by the bed and put the cup and paper cover away.

There are always new slippers in the room, because some guests get wet after swimming.

Back to the hotel, the weather forecast for the next day was put on the bed, with small gifts with regional characteristics (some rooms are folded animal towels). Although it is only a small detail, it is super plus points.

As a villa resort, the public area of the hotel is also online, and it has won the world tourism award WTA Asia's top holiday villa hotel.

The theme of the resort is "Buddhism and Zen", and the design idea is based on the traditional architectural structure and distinctive ethnic patterns of the Dai people. The atmosphere feels like a holiday resort in Bali.

Walking into the hotel lobby, the first thing you see is the endless lotus pond. When there are activities here, there will be water and lights at night.

In the evening, a coffee cart will provide some desserts.

This hotel is special because there is a Southern Buddhism-themed stupa in it. This stupa existed before the hotel, and now it is managed by the monks of the General Buddhist Temple.

Every important festival in Xishuangbanna, there will also be corresponding Buddhist theme activities here.

There are two pedestals under the stupa, and the decoration is full of national characteristics. There is a meditation hall for worshipping Buddha on the pedestal. Doors, windows and columns are all forms with Dai characteristics.

There are five golden pagodas on the upper floor, a small pagoda at each corner, and a main pagoda in the middle, which is dedicated to Buddhist relics. Pagoda is a unique modeling form of Dai people.

One experience of hotel guests is that they can chant with Master in the stupa in the morning.

Finally, talk about hotel meals.

During the two days in the hotel, I mainly tried floating afternoon tea, buffet breakfast and dinner and Thai restaurant.

Floating afternoon tea is really the same as little red book. Suitable for young ladies who like to take pictures. The meal was served by two hotel brothers. Because afternoon tea is heavy, it will help to put it in the pool.

In order to meet the needs of the guests, the little buddy also has a dry ice machine and can help take pictures, which is really intimate (but drinking afternoon tea in the pool is really not as pleasant as expected, and drinks are easy to shake out).

Snacks are well matched and have tropical characteristics.

There are singers singing in the cafeteria at night, and the overall atmosphere is not bad. The staple food is seafood sashimi.

The cafeteria also provides many limited dishes, such as a table of small green dragon sashimi, such as Wellington steak for one person and liquid nitrogen ice cream.

Breakfast is not particularly rich. But there are also freshly squeezed juice and freshly made wonton, noodles and egg rolls.

But we can actually eat buffet anywhere. I think Thai restaurants are worth punching in the hotel. The chef of the restaurant is from Chiang Mai and has been a chef in Xishuangbanna for more than ten years.

Thai food here is very authentic.

Many raw materials and seasonings of the ingredients are brought by the master from Thailand.

Dongyin court belongs to one person. The entrance is sour and spicy. There are onions, mushrooms and shrimps in it, which is very appetizing.

Bread curry shrimp is also recommended. Shrimp meat is tight, curry is thick and mellow, bread sticks dipped in curry sauce are appetizing, and curry sauce with pineapple fried rice is also a good entrance.

The sour soup of sour soup fish is very fresh, and the fish is fresh and tender, which is also very suitable for cooking rice. The taste of stewed vegetables in cream is only faint, combined with greasy curry.

The overall color, smell and taste are all online, and it really feels like coming to Thailand.

With appetizers, pineapple rice tastes good and there is no minefield at all. There are also more than 300 sets of Dai-style hand-grabbed rice in the restaurant, but I recommend you order it yourself. I feel that you can get a lot of surprises.

In addition to meals, many hotel accommodation packages also include two tickets for Dai Xiu. This play is super valuable and highly recommended to everyone. Dai Xiu's theater is jointly invested by Wanda Cultural Industry Group and Frank Company of the United States.

When staying in a hotel, there is a regular bus, and a few minutes' drive from the hotel to the theater is enough.

The performance of the Dai people is based on the Dai folk legend Princess Peacock.

The theater presents the audience with an immersive experience with a strong sense of interaction. At the scene, you can experience the blending of high-tech lighting, vision and art, and the water stage is super beautiful.

This is very similar to the program "Dancing House" I saw in Macau.

The only thing that makes me want to vomit Mandarin is the welcome fruit without room. I can only buy it at the vegetable market and put it in the refrigerator.
