Brief introduction of Hangzhou Liu Tong Hotel

Hangzhou Liu Tong Hotel is located on the beautiful West Lake, adjacent to the famous scenic spots of the West Lake, such as "Fish Watching in Huagang", "Su Causeway", "Tiger Running" and "Full of Fish". It is a brand-new resort hotel built by Hangzhou Federation of Trade Unions.

Courtyard-style architecture in Jiangnan style, the inner courtyard and the outer courtyard are in harmony, the trees are uneven, the ancient trees are towering and full of vitality; The small landscape and the garden set each other off, and the winding flowing water is like spring all the year round, embedded in the green hills and trees. Very elegant. The antique camphor tree, the dragon brand with anti-branches and the lush phoenix cover make the hotel full of vitality. The floors of the hotel are patchwork, distinct and complement each other, with alleys and winding paths. On the mountainside of the three main buildings, there are towering old trees, vines and birds singing, which is very elegant. It's really "building a house is on earth, but there are no horses and chariots." Liu Tong Hotel is built on the site of the ancient temple of Liu Tong.

There is a pier at the foot of Santai Mountain, which is famous for its beauty. The ancient and famous Liu Tong Temple and Fa Temple are both at the pier. Fa Fa Temple, formerly known as Chang 'erxiang Temple, was built by Wang Jian of wuyue in the fourth year of Tianfu at the end of the Jin Dynasty (939). According to legend, at the end of the Tang Dynasty, there was a monk named Fazhen. His ears were nine inches long and hung down to his neck. It looked strange, so he was called the "long-eared monk". He came here from the National Assembly Temple in Tiantai Mountain and was respected by Wang Lijing, the State of Wu Yue, who built a temple for him. The incense in Fafa Temple used to be very popular. In the old days, there was Liutonglv Temple next to Fafa Temple. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple was changed to Liu Tongcide Hospital. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the temple was abandoned. During the Wanli period, the temple was rebuilt and destroyed repeatedly. After 1949, Liu Tong Hotel was built on the former site of Fafa Temple in Liu Tong, and later renamed as Liu Tong Hotel.

Less than a hundred years after the rule of Wu Yueguo, Hangzhou has built more than 150 temples and dozens of towers, laying the foundation for Hangzhou to become a famous Buddhist scenic spot. Since then, it has gained the reputation of "there is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below". One of the famous temples is Liu Tong Temple in Chishan.

According to the records, Liu Tong Temple was named Liu Tongci Deyuan in the Song Dynasty, and it was said in the Annals of Lin 'an (Volume 78): "Gan Youping, Wu Yue Wang Jian, old name: Huide Tower. During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, the temple was abandoned and rebuilt in Wanli. " There is a treasure in the temple called a "dust blower", which is neither wood nor stone. I don't know why it was built. It is the treasure of the town temple. During Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, temples were destroyed and furnaces disappeared. Liu Tong Temple and Yin Hui Temple (also known as Koryo Temple) were both built in the period of wuyue. Taoist priest, presiding over the temple. Yi Dao, the founder of Shangtianzhu Mountain, and Daoding, the founder of Fafa Temple, are both famous monks in Hang Cheng. Buddhist circles call him "three phoenixes among monks". Liu Tong Temple, with its deep forests and beautiful docks, once enjoyed its peak incense. Now, together with the scenic spots such as "Empty Mountain Listening to Rain", "Mirror Flower Pavilion" and "Fashan Pavilion" next to the ancient temple, they have all been annihilated, leaving only a thousand-year-old camphor tree telling the history of the distant past.

According to research, in the spacious courtyard of the hotel, there are 1 1 big camphor trees over 200 years old. One of them is the oldest recorded Cinnamomum camphora in Hangzhou. The inscription says it was 1049 years ago, commonly known as "Millennium Cinnamomum camphora". The two towering old trees at the main entrance of the hotel, one golden and the other green, are like two loyal sentries, which have been standing in front of the hotel since the establishment of Liu Tong Hotel.
