I have always been curious about Nanzhao. Attractive, I always feel that this place has endless mystery, so last month I went to Nanzhao Fengqing Island in Dali, Yunnan.

This Nanzhao style island belongs to the beautiful Shuanglang Township and is embedded in the Erhai Lake in Dali, Yunnan. After arriving at Shuanglang, it only takes 5 minutes by boat!

Let’s talk about the Double Corridor first. The Double Corridor can be said to be a paradise where the water and the sky are the same color, and the lake and the water complement each other. It leans on Jizu Mountain on one side and Erhai Lake on the other. After arriving at Shuanglang, waiting for the boat at the pier, you can see Nanzhao Island across the Erhai Lake. Nanzhao Island is very small. When viewed from a high altitude, it looks like an emerald pearl falling in the blue Erhai Lake. However, although the sparrow is small, it has all the internal organs and is quite delicate.

The island is full of ancient trees, winding plank roads and deep paths, connecting squares, palaces, observation decks, caves and so on. There is a battery car on the island, but it is not recommended to take it, because it is not troublesome to go around the island, and there is no need to waste the money. Of course, if there are elderly people with inconvenient legs and feet, they can still take it.

After landing on the island, the first thing you saw was a group of bronze sculptures in the square called "Sha Yi Mu". There were 10 stone pillars behind it, and 10 men were carved with strong lines on the pillars. In the image, they are the 10 sons of Sha Yi’s mother.

There is a legend behind this group of sculptures, which comes from the "Jiulong" myth in "Book of the Later Han Dynasty. Biography of Southwest Yi". In the Ailao Mountains in western Yunnan, there was a woman named Sha Yi who fished To make a living, one day she accidentally touched a piece of sunken wood at the bottom of the water. She became pregnant and gave birth to 10 sons. Unexpectedly, the piece of sunken wood turned into a yellow dragon in the Lancang River. The yellow dragon carved an inscription on each son. Dragon mark, wear bark clothes.

The youngest son was the closest to him and was named Jiulong. When he grew up, he moved to Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, became a king, and multiplied. His descendants became today's Dali Bai people. The sculpture itself tells the story of the past and present lives of the Bai people in Dali in myths and legends.

Walking along the plank road that winds in the forest, it feels like walking in the shadow of the coconut trees on the southern beach. Part of the plank road is built to the water's edge, and the sparkling waves beat gently.

When the plank road extends to the hillside, you can penetrate the gorgeous flowers and overlook the blue Erhai Lake and the mist-shrouded Cangshan Mountain. The scenery is so beautiful!

What interests me most is the view of the Sun Palace opposite the island from here. The Sun Palace is a villa built by the dancer Yang Liping. It was once used as an art hotel and is now fully displayed as a work of art. , you can enter and visit as long as you spend money.

From here, you can see that the Sun Palace occupies the best geographical location of Erhai Lake. Most of its body is deep into the sea, as if it is floating on the water. Its shape is very beautiful, with flowers and trees filling every corner. Some of the semicircular buildings protrude from the bottom of the water, like a sun rising from the Erhai Lake. It is said that there is a glass structure inside, and the sea water directly hits the glass. On the beach, you can listen to the waves of Erhai Lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea and sky.

You can also visit the Nanzhao Palace on the island. The architectural style is mainly based on the Tang Dynasty, with Nanzhao and Tubo styles added. It was the summer palace of Nanzhao King. It is said that it was once as large as At the Forbidden City in Beijing, unfortunately, only ruins remain.

In my opinion, the most charming thing about Nanzhao Island is its comfortable and relaxing environment. The climate on the island is pleasant and the cool sea breeze blows in your face. After circling the island, Find an old tree on the shore and sit in a daze quietly, doing nothing or thinking about anything. Cangshan Mountain is in the distance, Erhai Lake is nearby, and the clear blue sky and white clouds are above your head. It is no less comfortable than vacationing in Sanya.
