Escape from the summer heat - yellow water under the night

Huangshui Town is about 1,500 meters above sea level. In summer, there is no air conditioning, no fans, and no mosquitoes. It is indeed a summer resort!

The temperature difference here between morning and evening is about 15℃, so wear long-sleeved T-shirts and cropped pants in the morning and evening, and short-sleeves or skirts during the day. During the day, the sun was shining brightly, and some people who were afraid of the sun hid in the hotel. At dusk, when the sun sets and the power of the sun weakens, people walk out of their rooms in twos and threes and onto the street.

It’s really a date after dusk! At first, there were just a few scattered people, but gradually, they merged into small streams. These creeks flow along different streets to two places, one is the Huangshui Grand Theater Square and the other is the Folk Village Square. These two squares are the sea, containing the white stream!

Oh! I also missed one place, the town government square.

The permanent population of Huangshui Town is only about 10,000. Because of the summer heat, the streets in the town were packed with crowds. The core strength of this summer vacation is retired aunts and uncles aged 50 to 70 years old. Some of them who are more unrestrained come with their wives and a group of good friends, while some who are not so unrestrained will drag their grandson from kindergarten with them. Most of them come from Chongqing and Sichuan. However, on weekends, there will be many young faces in the crowd, and these young faces will disappear on Monday morning!

Entertainment at night includes square dancing, high-pitched singing, ballroom dancing, and free open-air concerts!

The square dances are concentrated in the Huangshui Grand Theater Square and the Folk Village Square. It is not clear who is leading the dance. Anyway, hundreds of people are dancing to the deafening music and stepping on the dong dong that shakes their hearts. Beat the drums, wave your sleeves and dance. Under the setting sun, in the afterglow of the sunset, under the bright moon hanging high, I am intoxicated with myself...

Hi Song occupies the small dam in front of the Bajiao Pavilion in the Folk Village. The Migratory Birds Choir, a self-organized folk organization, uses their enthusiasm to ignite the singing of more than a hundred people here every night. The choir consists of a conductor, a dozen accompanists and a dozen singers. There were violins, electronic keyboards, flutes, erhu, etc. They played music and singers sang old songs from the 1950s and 1960s, which aroused the roar of the people. So the impassioned people surrounded the band and singers on three levels and joined them in the chorus. I have never heard many of the songs, but from the people’s shining eyes and heart-rending voices, I understand that they spend their lives singing here night after night!

Ballroom dancing in the town government square. When the lanterns came on, the ballroom dancing began. Don't look at the shambling old men and women in the vegetable market, but it's completely different on this dance floor. All of them were in high spirits, dressed gorgeously, and rejuvenated, and they danced a pas de deux. The charm was so charming... all the young people could only look forward to it and sigh!

For open-air concerts, there are two small courtyards on both sides of the town government building. Hey! Two professional song and dance troupes occupy two courtyards respectively and perform every night. Some people brought their own small stools in advance to occupy the first row of seats. The concert starts at 7:30 every night, and several singers are invited from the art troupe. The songs they sang were also from the 1950s and 1960s, such as "The Galloping Horse", "Meeting in Obo" and "We Soldiers". The cool wind mixed with the bright moonlight, and the audience applauded enthusiastically. I listened to a song called "Shanghai Beach" last night. I listened to it. It was a song from my childhood.

This... is the yellow water under the night, where a wave of people aged 50 to 70 release or find the passion in their bodies! Life lasts, passion never dies!
