Luoding is located in the central and western part of Guangdong Province. It is one of the 50 mountainous counties (cities) in the province and one of the first batch of historical and cultural cities in Guangdong Province. It is one of the gateways for the southwestern provinces and regions to enter Guangdong, and it is also the window for Guangdong’s motherland to spread to the southwest. Luoding City is a famous historical and cultural city in Guangdong Province and the hometown of General Cai Tingkai, a famous anti-Japanese patriotic general. Since the reform and opening up, the people of Luoding have worked together with one heart and one mind to develop the economy. Excellent location. Luoding connects northwest Guangdong and southeast Guangxi, and is an important gateway for Guangdong and southwest China.

The foundation of industry and agriculture is solid. In terms of industrial enterprises, there are more than 10,000 industrial enterprises in the city, forming five pillar industries including electronics, machinery, textiles, clothing, and building materials. In terms of agricultural industrialization, agricultural industrialization bases for rosin, cinnamon, tea, dill bamboo, fruits, sericulture, pond fish, vegetables, three birds, live pigs, meat rabbits, etc. have been built, and a number of leading agricultural enterprises have emerged, among which Luoding Agricultural Industry Mao Industrial Corporation, Luoding Yugui Co., Ltd., and Luodinglin Industrial and Commercial Company are provincial-level leading enterprises in the agricultural (forestry) industry. Adequate power supply. Implementing the simultaneous development of hydropower and thermal power and interconnecting with the provincial power grid, the city has 105 small and medium-sized reservoirs, 179 small hydropower stations with 269 units, a total installed capacity of 58,700 kilowatts, and an annual power generation of 160 million kWh. The first unit of the first phase of the Yuelong Thermal Power Plant with a scale of 2x135MW was connected to the grid to generate electricity on February 7, 2004 and was put into commercial operation. The power generation of this power plant will play a positive role in alleviating the power shortage in western Guangdong and even Guangdong Province.

The educational foundation is good. Since ancient times, Luoding has been known as the "hometown of culture". There is one general higher education institution in the jurisdiction - Luoding Vocational and Technical College. The city currently has 37 middle schools, 493 primary schools and 10,936 on-the-job teachers. There are three key middle schools: Luoding Middle School, Tingkai Memorial Middle School, and Luoding Experimental Middle School.

Abundant labor resources. The city's total social labor force is 495,000 (including 330,000 rural labor force and 165,000 urban labor force). There are 138,000 labor force engaged in the secondary and tertiary industries. There are still 107,000 rural surplus labor force available for export, and they are employed in various enterprises.
