Many hotels use foamed plastic tableware, which is only packaged because it is cheap. Why should the state ban it?

The China Municipal Government has stipulated that the production, sale and use of disposable foamed plastic tableware will be prohibited from 2006 1 month/day for the following reasons:

1, it is difficult to recycle foamed plastic tableware after it is used up and discarded; 2. The foaming agent used in the production of some enterprises is butane (that is, the gas of lighters), which is easy to catch fire and unsafe; 3. The product is easy to dissolve out harmful substances at high temperature (> 65℃), which is unsafe to use, especially when it is used in microwave oven. 4. The product is bulky and inconvenient to transport and store; 5, not easy to decompose, polluting the environment and harmful to human body; 6, the emergence of alternative products (corn starch tableware).
