A brief history of Hebei Business School
Hebei Commercial School is a full-time secondary vocational school affiliated to Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. Founded in 1953, it has gone through more than half a century. During the ten years from 1955 to 1965, with the integration of the state and commerce, the school was renamed several times, and it was successively called "Hebei Commercial Technical Cadre School", "Hebei Finance and Trade Technical Cadre School" and "Shijiazhuang Cadre School of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperatives" to train the accounting, planning and price of the supply and marketing and commercial systems. During this period, according to the needs of national and commercial development, the provincial government transferred some personnel from the school to establish Hebei Business School, and established the present Hebei University of Economics and Business on the basis of the original Hebei Business School.
1965 the school is closed. During the Cultural Revolution, the school's teaching instruments, furniture and equipment, books and materials were all transferred and lost. Among them, the family area of the North Campus was converted into a provincial dormitory, and the dormitory of the South College was occupied by some provincial units. 1May, 978, with the approval of the Hebei provincial government, the school officially resumed classes and was named "Hebei Supply and Marketing School", with a tentative scale of 800 students. The predecessor of Hebei Business School is Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School, and its establishment and development can be traced back to the training course for cadres of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Committee established in Baoding in March 1950. Hebei Provincial Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has attached great importance to the training of cadres in this system since the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In the case that materials and teachers are still very difficult, a training course was held in Baoding, the newly liberated ancient city, after simple transformation. The main task is to train grassroots leading cadres, professional cadres and teachers. Comrade Liu is the head teacher of the first training class.
At that time, the conditions of the training course were very difficult. I use the old temple as a classroom, and I live in a local house. I sat on a brick without a stool, and my knees without a desk instead. The training class carries forward the spirit of hard struggle of our party, overcomes all kinds of difficulties and persists in training. Six training courses have been held successively, with a total of more than 500 people trained, and a group of backbone forces of the supply and marketing cooperative system with strong politics, education and fine business have been trained.
I was in the early 1950 s, when China's supply and marketing cooperatives developed greatly and the purchase and sale business spread all over the country. At that time, grass-roots supply and marketing cooperatives were established in the central towns of rural economic regions, and acquisition outlets were set up in natural villages. The great development of supply and marketing cooperatives has also led to the rapid expansion of the ranks of cadres and workers in supply and marketing cooperatives. In just a few years, the number of cadres and workers in Hebei supply and marketing cooperatives system has grown from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, and it is urgent to improve the management level and professional and technical ability. However, the training courses can no longer meet the needs of the development of supply and marketing cooperatives. So, 1952, Hebei supply and marketing cooperatives invested more than one billion yuan (old RMB), and founded the first supply and marketing cooperatives cadre school in Hebei Province on the basis of the training course, and officially opened in September of that year. The training targets are mainly directors and deputy directors of county supply and marketing cooperatives. The headmaster is also the director of the provincial supply and marketing cooperative. Shijiazhuang Cadre School was established on the basis of four regional training courses or cadre schools: Shijiazhuang Supply and Marketing Cooperative Training Course, Hengshui Supply and Marketing Cooperative Training Course, Tangshan Supply and Marketing Cooperative Training Course and Zhangjiakou Supply and Marketing Cooperative Training School. Later, Xingtai Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School was merged into Shijiazhuang Cadre School. In order to distinguish the two cadre schools, the provincial supply and marketing cooperatives were named Baoding Cadre School of Hebei Province and Shijiazhuang Cadre School of Hebei Province respectively.
On 1956, my Baoding cadre school was moved to Yuhua Road, Shijiazhuang, and renamed as "Hebei No.1 Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School", and Shijiazhuang Cadre School was renamed as "Hebei No.2 Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School" accordingly. 1960, the two schools merged, and the school was located at the current site, named "Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School", which was the predecessor of Hebei Commercial School. After the merger of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School, the number of teaching staff increased from more than 50 to more than 130. Later, according to the needs of teaching and work, the number of teaching staff was adjusted accordingly. The number of teaching staff remained at about 80 or 90, with full-time teachers accounting for half, and the rest were administrative cadres and workers, with roughly the same number.
Our school has a party committee, which implements the leadership system of the principal's responsibility system under the leadership of the party committee. The provincial supply and marketing cooperatives exercise administrative leadership over the school, and the school party committee is led by the local party committee, that is, by the party committee directly under the Shijiazhuang prefectural party committee, and then by the party committee of the Shijiazhuang municipal party committee. The teaching institutions of the school include the teaching and research section of political theory course, professional course and general course. Relatively stable majors are: accounting, statistics, cotton inspection, means of production, industrial products for daily use, commodity storage and so on. The general course mainly offers four cultural courses: Chinese, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Second, the infrastructure and the scale of running schools.
After the establishment of our school, we attached great importance to the construction of teaching infrastructure, and successively invested hundreds of thousands of yuan to establish cotton processing inspection, food hygiene inspection, animal products, daily necessities and physical and chemical laboratories; Invested tens of thousands of yuan to build the school library and reading room. The school library has more than 50,000 books, and the reading room has subscribed to hundreds of major newspapers and periodicals all over the country. At that time, the school's facilities and teaching capacity could meet the needs of 1200 students studying at the same time.
One, three Logistics support and service work
The logistics service task of our school is very heavy. Although there are few logistics personnel, the work efficiency is very high. There were no temporary workers at that time. Under normal circumstances, a chef has to pay 90- 150 people for meals. A dispatcher sticks to his post 24 hours a day, responsible for sending and receiving letters, ringing the bell and guarding the door; A worker is both an electrician and a carpenter, and is also responsible for purchasing; A boiler worker should ensure that 1000 students can have boiled water from 6 am to 0 pm 10. The training targets of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School are mainly leading cadres and professional technicians of grass-roots supply and marketing cooperatives, including directors and branch secretaries of grass-roots cooperatives, technicians in accounting and statistics, and cotton inspection and management personnel of daily industrial products, agricultural and sideline products and agricultural means of production. At the end of 1950s, cadre schools started long-term training courses, which were divided into one-year and two-year courses. After graduation, students are equivalent to technical secondary school level, and the training targets are mainly business backbones who have worked for more than three years and have a junior high school education or above. Most of the students come from the grassroots level and have some practical work experience, but they lack theoretical basis. Through long-term theoretical training, their work level has been further improved. After graduation, the students all returned to their original units to continue their work, which played an important role in the development of supply and marketing cooperatives. According to 1978 after the resumption of classes, most of the students who graduated from Hebei supply and marketing cooperative cadre schools have become the backbone of Hebei supply and marketing cooperative system.
Since 1958, the school has also set up training courses for military professional cadres. After short-term training, students will soon be competent for the professional and technical work of grassroots leaders or supply and marketing cooperatives.
Second, strengthen the construction of teachers.
At the beginning of the establishment of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative Cadre School, most of the teaching and administrative staff were transferred from different positions in the system, and they were all amateurs in school work. In order to meet the needs of teaching, the school takes three measures to strengthen the construction of teaching staff: first, send teaching staff to various schools for further study, or go to supply and marketing cooperatives for investigation and training when there is no teaching task to enrich and enrich practical skills; The second is to organize cadres and workers to study in other cadre schools in the national supply and marketing cooperative system and exchange their experience in running schools; The third is to participate in various professional meetings organized by the provincial supply and marketing cooperatives instead of training. Through the above ways, the overall quality of teaching and management personnel has been greatly improved.

Our school organizes teaching seriously according to the law of running a school. First, strictly control the quality of teachers. The quality of teachers directly determines the quality of running a school. After long-term screening and training, a team of teachers with profound cultural foundation, rich professional knowledge and strong teaching ability has been gradually built, which has laid a solid foundation for ensuring teaching quality. The second is to strictly control the quality of student enrollment. The quality of students is the foundation of education. In order to strictly control the quality, students must pass a strict cultural examination in addition to the basic conditions such as ideology and resume before entering school. The third is to attach importance to the selection and appointment of middle-level cadres in schools. Since the establishment of the Supply and Marketing Cadre School ten years ago, more than 30 middle-level cadres have been selected and appointed through strict procedures, many of whom later held important leadership positions. The fourth is to strengthen student management. The school selects people with good politics, high quality and understanding of teaching and management as class teachers and managers. They study and live with students, grasp the students' ideological status in time and accurately, and solve problems in the bud.
Under the unified leadership of the school party Committee and relying on the office of the party Committee, I absorbed all the class teachers (and branch secretaries) and formed a school ideological and political work system focusing on students' entrance education and daily ideological and political work.
