Milan is the world fashion art center, the world design capital, the world historical and cultural city and one of the four major economic centers in Europe. The hinterland of Milan is the largest industrial area in Italy, and its population is second only to Rome. It is located in Lombardy Plain in northern Italy (the capital of Lombardy and Milan). The resident population of the city is about 1.47 million, with an area of about 1.8 1 square kilometer.
