Wangzhuang Village is located on the west bank of the North Canal. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, Shanxi surnamed Wang settled here and was called Wangjiazhuang. Later, a family named Xu moved here and called it Xu Wangzhuang. Later it was renamed Wangjiazhuang. It has been called Wangzhuang since the 1950s. Shunhe Stilt Club was founded during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and became one of the famous flower clubs in the city and district. The village is home to the well-known private enterprise Jinmao Group Co., Ltd., which in recent years has established Ruijing Hotel, the first village-level four-star hotel in Tianjin.
