D2: Huqiu-Liuyuan-Gushantang Street-Shilu

Tiger Hill also buys water before departure. It is suggested to take a taxi to Tiger Hill, about 16 yuan, which can save a lot of time. Tiger hill is surrounded by a small river. It is suggested to walk around the river first and see other small scenic spots, and then go up the mountain to see the tower.

Tiger Hill

Introduction: It is the landmark landscape of Suzhou, and is known as "the first scene in Wuzhong". It is located in the northwest of the ancient city of Suzhou, 3.5 kilometers away from Nagato. There are many historical sites and rich legends in Tiger Hill, which are the result of fairies and the charm of hills. Su Shi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once said, "It is a pity not to visit Suzhou Tiger Hill." When evaluating the characteristics of Tiger Hill, the ancients once put forward the theory of "Nine Suits", arguing that Tiger Hill should be suitable for the moon, snow, rain, smoke, Yichun Xiao, summer, autumn, falling trees and sunset.

History: In ancient times, Tiger Hill was once an island in the bay that appeared and disappeared with the tide. After vicissitudes of life, it finally surfaced and became an isolated hill on the flat land. People call it Haiyong Mountain. The relationship between Tiger Hill and the sea can be seen in Zhaobi, Haiyong Bridge, Haiyong Spring and Yuejiaxuan of Cui Yongshan Villa, where the stone carving of "Haiyong Peak" inscribed by Qian Daxin, a scholar of Qing Dynasty, stands.

Suzhou was the capital of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period. After the death of He Lv, the prince of Wu, he was buried here. On the third day after his death, a white tiger lived on it, hence the name Tiger Hill. Then Qin Shihuang climbed the hill to see the victory; Xiang Yu, the overlord of the Western Chu Dynasty, led 8000 soldiers to fight Qin again. Later, when Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, was a secretariat in Suzhou, he dug mountains to divert water and built Qili Dike, which made the scenery of Tiger Hill more beautiful.

Guide: The main scenic spots are: Tiger Hill, "the third spring in the world", Duanliangtang, Hanhan Spring, Shijianshi, Jianchi, Cuiyong Mountain Villa and Wanjing Mountain Villa.

Tiger Hill is a flat octagonal brick tower built in the Song Dynasty (96 1 year), with 7 floors and a height of 47.5 meters.

Due to the foundation, the tower began to tilt to the northwest 400 years ago. According to preliminary measurement, the deviation between the center point of the tower top and the central vertical line has reached 2.3 meters (the deviation of the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy is 4.4 meters), and the inclination is 2゜40', so it is called "Leaning Tower of Pisa in the East". The original tower top was destroyed by lightning. When 1956 was rebuilt, a large number of precious cultural relics such as stone letters, prayer flags, bronze buddhas, bronze mirrors and celadon lotus bowls of Yue Yao were found in the third mezzanine.

Tiger Hill Sword Pool The most mysterious and attractive monument in Tiger Hill is the sword pool. On the stone wall due north of the Thousand-Man Stone, the four characters "Tiger Hill and Sword Pool" are engraved. It is said that these four words were written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. The so-called sword pool is a pool as narrow as a sword under a cliff. The tomb of He Lv, the prince of Wu, may be here. According to legend, at that time, 3,000 fish intestine swords and other swords were used to sacrifice the country for the prince of Wu, hence the name Jianchi. Two steep stone cliffs rose from the ground and locked a pool of green water. "The pool is dark and cold" and "the empty mountain is deep and firm", and the weather is one of them. According to the Records of Suzhou Prefecture, Lu Yu once lived in Huqiu for a long time, studying tea and writing tea classics. The water in Jianchi was named "the fifth spring in the world" by him.

Mystery of King Wu's Tomb 1955 Repair of Tiger Hill and Dredging of Sword Pool. At that time, I scrubbed moss, and verified that there were inscriptions of Changzhou, Wuxian and Kunshan in Ming Dynasty on the rock wall on the east side of Jianchi, as well as those of Tang Yin and Wang Yong, which contained simple information that Jianchi dried up in the seventh year of Ming Dynasty (15 12) and the tomb gate of the Prince of Wu was found at the bottom of Jianchi. Based on the analysis of the accumulated soil behind the Tiger Hill and the above signs, it is likely that the sword pool was designed and excavated to cover the king's tomb. There may be some secrets behind the tomb door. However, whether the tomb of the Prince of Wu is in it or not is still a mystery through the ages until it is confirmed by archaeological excavations.

Lingering Garden

Brief introduction: Lingering Garden, together with Humble Administrator's Garden, Beijing Summer Palace and chengde mountain resort, is one of the four famous gardens in China and is listed in the World Cultural Heritage List. History: Lingering Garden was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and was originally the East Garden of Master Xu of Taipu Temple. The rockery in the garden was built by the famous teacher Zhou. Qingganlong was acquired by Liu Shu in the late Qing Dynasty, and was renamed Hanbi Villa after expansion, which was called "Liuyuan". There are twelve peaks of Taihu Stone in the park, which is a wonder. During the Xianning period, many gardens in Suzhou were destroyed, but this garden existed alone. In the early years of Guangxu, Sheng Kang, an official, bought this garden, absorbed the strengths of various gardens in Suzhou, rebuilt it and renamed it Liuyuan.

Guide: Lingering Garden is divided into four scenic spots: central, eastern, western and northern. The scenic spots are connected by an arc corridor more than 700 meters long. There are more than 300 calligraphy and stone carvings of famous artists in the past dynasties embedded in the two walls of the promenade, which is called "Lingering Garden Fa Tie". Under the veranda, there are glistening walls and leaking windows, and the pattern is exquisite. Looking from the flower wall, the pavilion in the mountain pool looms among the flowers and trees, like a picture scroll of painters, which has a unique interest. Lingering Garden has become an outstanding model of garden art in the south of the Yangtze River with its livable landscape layout and unique stone peak landscape.

Shopping tips:

Be careful when buying a number one hoof. Some hooves look very red, but the color is too dark, so they will not be so red when burned normally. Hooves are very expensive, about a 30 yuan. Few people buy hooves in summer, and no one buys hooves in rows, but the next day it is as bright red as the first day.

There are hand-painted paintings, fans, silks, teapots and various ethnic handicrafts in the streets of Ming and Qing Dynasties. You can bargain freely and sell at a good price. But most silk is rayon, not real silk, so the price is generally tens of dollars. Because of the high price of silk, few tourists usually buy it.

You can go to shiquan street when you return to the city at night.

D5: Xishan-Mudu

Or take a bus from the railway station to Tieqiao bus station and go to Xishan via Mudu. Go to Xishan first, get off at Mudu when you come back, and get off at Mudu and Mudu Hospital.

In fact, we can consider going to the ninth hole in the West Mountain, and other places will depend on whether time permits or not. Moreover, Xishan Mountain has no food resources, so it is recommended to carry food with you.

Xishan is the abbreviation of Dongting Mountain, with a width of 1 1 km from north to south and a length of 15 km from east to west, covering an area of 79.8 square kilometers. It is the largest island in Taihu Lake. Xishan Scenic Area is the essence of Taihu Lake Scenic Area. There are 72 peaks in Taihu Lake, including those in the Western Hills. The highest peak of the so-called "the mountain is not high, the fairy is not famous"-the smog peak is only over 300 meters, but its rich cultural and historical connotation has endowed her with infinite charm.

Linwu Mountain is located in the northeast of Xishan Town. According to historical records, as early as during Dayu's flood control, Dayu left footprints here. According to the Records of Emperor Wudi, there is a Dongting 130 miles west of the county, which is far-reaching and unpredictable. The king of Wu sent Ling Wei's husband into the cave, but he couldn't finish it on 17, because he got jade water. Shigong Mountain, located in the southeast corner of Xishan Mountain, is named "Shigong" because the giant Taihu Stone in front of the mountain looks like an old man. "There are ethnic groups in the stone, and Taihu Lake is the best." The famous "Huashiban" in the Tang Dynasty was adopted here, leaving behind the "Li Anyun Barrier" and other relics. In the south of the mountainside, the Imperial Moge Pavilion, with its four corners facing the sky, is named after the stone tablet of "respecting Buddha" written by Shunzhi, the ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, and is the treasure of Zhenshan. The word "Imperial Ink Pavilion" was written by Jeff. The word "Gui Yundong" is a cursive script strictly written in the Ming Dynasty, and Xu Kai's script reads "reading sage books, doing righteousness, keeping loyalty and filial piety" and other cliff stone carvings.

Mudu

There are many places of interest in the ancient town, and architectural culture, garden culture, religious culture and folk culture are integrated into one, with unique customs, and its history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period of Wuyue.

In the middle of Qing Dynasty, Mudu was already a famous commercial port in Wuzhong. Kangxi made three southern tours and six trips to the south of the Yangtze River, and he was lucky in Mudu every time.

Mudu celebrities come forth in large numbers. From the eighth year of Xiangfu in Song Dynasty (A.D. 10 15) to the end of Qing Dynasty, * * * produced more than 20 scholars, including 27. Mudu's local handicrafts such as silk, Shuang Mianxiu, mahogany carving, inkstone, calligraphy and painting, and stone carving are also world-renowned.
