My favorite rooftop in the city
Every lonely boy has his own rooftop in his heart. Whenever night falls, he sits on the rooftop. Watching the sun gradually being swallowed up by darkness, the sunlight gradually dissipated between heaven and earth.
But then, in the dark sky, stars twinkled, and gradually some light appeared in the darkness. He watched this process happen, but actually he didn't think about anything, he just wanted to stay quietly.
When I was young, I was also such a boy. Since I was a child, I have longed to stand on a high place and look at the distant scenery. Either spectacular, meandering, beautiful or ordinary.
So far, the highest roof I have ever been to is the 28th floor, in a hotel in Shenzhen whose name I have forgotten. The 28th floor is actually not particularly high, but it is enough for me to see many different scenery.
The buildings in many places in Shenzhen only have more than 20 floors. The gap of eight floors can already allow me to see their roofs.
No matter how high the roof is, you can always see the very friendly phenomenon of drying quilts. Some buildings have water towers on the roof, and some roofs are completely enclosed.
Every time I stand on a tall building and look at these uneven buildings. I can always think of my hometown, a mountaintop village where you can see the mountains and the sea of ??clouds.
The place where I work now is very low, a five-story small building. I work on the third floor. Every time I look out through the window, I can only see the window opposite.
I often listen to Hao Yun's song "Alive" and think about standing on a tall building and looking into the distance. While I was thinking about it, it was really depressing in this city. Although I don’t have a jeep, I do have a bicycle, and I don’t know where to go except to ride it when I go to the gym.
I think the reason why I like high-rise buildings is that they are too depressing. I have a brother who lives on the eighth floor, and you can walk up to the top. Although the floors are not high, the view in this land under development and construction in Pingshan, Shenzhen is quite broad.
Sometimes on weekends, I would bring two bottles of wine to their house to have a drink with him in the evening. We set up a small table on the roof, served wine and food, and chatted and drank while watching the sun set.
Only at this time can I feel the tranquility of life, and all the usual depression seems to have disappeared.
There are many beautiful, prosperous and splendid places in this city. Those places are fun and lively, and people always like to gather there. It seems that the noise and excitement can dispel the loneliness and depression in the heart and make oneself happy.
I also tried, but I found that I couldn’t do it. Those places were excellent and lively, but they just didn’t belong to me.
Perhaps in my mind, I have always been the boy who likes to stay alone on the roof of the building, and it has never changed. Only the distant scenery and the freedom of loneliness can allow me to leave everything behind and feel at peace and quiet.
Good evening, young man, long time no see.
