In 1989, the predecessor of Guangdong Fengtai Group Co., Ltd. was established as Dongguan Humen Construction and Development Company. It is a collective enterprise directly under the Dongguan Municipal Construction Committee and is mainly responsible for the renovation and maintenance of old and dilapidated buildings in the township. In 1992, Dongguan Humen Construction and Development Company undertook the construction of Fumin Commercial City, which became the largest clothing wholesale market in Humen.

In 1995, Guangdong Fengtai Group Company and other partners invested more than 400 million yuan to revitalize Taiping Plaza Garden, the largest "unfinished building" in the country, and it became a landmark building in Humen at that time.

In 2000, in order to adapt to the needs of the market economy and promote greater development of enterprises, with the approval of the municipal government, Dongguan Humen Construction and Development Company was officially transformed into Dongguan Humen Construction and Development Co., Ltd. In the same year, Dongguan Humen Construction and Development Co., Ltd. participated in the preliminary planning, investment and construction of Dongguan Haomen Hotel, becoming the first five-star hotel in Humen.

In 2001, it invested and developed a real estate project covering an area of ??1,000 acres - Fengtai Huayuan Villa. In 2003, Fengtai Huayuan Villa won the title of "Green Residential Area" from the Provincial Housing Association and "Green Community" from the Environmental Protection Bureau; in 2004, it was named "Dongguan City's Excellent Property Management Demonstration Community".

In 2002, Dongguan Humen Construction Development Co., Ltd. became the vice-president unit of Dongguan Construction Industry Association and the vice-president unit of Dongguan Real Estate Association.

In 2003, Guangdong Fengtai Group was formally established. In the same year, Guangdong Fengtai Group ranked sixth as the largest private enterprise taxpayer in Dongguan.

In April 2003, the foundation stone of 23 projects in Humen Town was laid, including the second phase of Fengtai Huayuan Villa, Fengtai Guanshan Garden, Fengtai Yutian Garden and Fengtai Garden Hotel of Guangdong Fengtai Group Three projects were started at the same time.

Guangdong Fengtai Group's construction of Dongguan Haomen Hotel won the city's excellent model project, Taiping Plaza Garden Phase II, and Fenghua Palace won the provincial excellent project.

In 2004, Guangdong Fengtai Group was awarded the title of "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province" by the Guangdong Provincial Government and the "Top 50 Private Enterprises" by the Dongguan Municipal Government. At the same time, the chairman was rated as a model worker in Dongguan City.

To date, the total construction area of ??investment and construction projects exceeds 2 million square meters, and it has developed and constructed dozens of large projects. It has been rated as "Advanced Comprehensive Development Unit" by the Municipal Construction Bureau for consecutive years.

In 2005, the Fengtai Garden Hotel, which was built with an investment of 450 million yuan and was built according to international five-star standards, officially opened for trial operation and became the only designated reception hotel in the world for the 2005 World Top Model Contest World Finals.
