People of all colors live together in harmony at Seychelles North Island Hotel

The history of Seychelles, like other archipelago countries in the Indian Ocean, was opened by Arab navigators at the end of the 15th century. But the first person to write it in the logbook and draw it on the navigation icon was the Portuguese fleet commander VASCODAGAMA. The current population of Seychelles is approximately 80,000. For hundreds of years, people who immigrated from Asia, Africa and Europe settled on this island with different cultures. Their descendants intermarried with each other, creating today's Seychelles Creole people with different skin colors but living in harmony.

The current residents here are mainly Bantu, Creole (mixed European and African), Indian and Pakistani descendants, Chinese and French. Creole is the national language, and English and French are commonly used. 90% of the residents believe in Roman Catholicism, 80% believe in Anglicanism, and a small number of people believe in Islam.
