The main attractions of Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville (Sihanoukville)

Sihanoukville was renamed by Kampong Som in 1993 according to the name of the king at that time. Sihanoukville is located in Kampong Som Bay in southwest Cambodia, 232 kilometers away from Phnom Penh. It is the only seaport city and seaside resort in Cambodia. In fact, the main tourist attractions are:

1. Beach: 3 kilometers away from the city, there are 4 beaches, the air is fresh and pollution-free, and you can dive, swim and sunbathe. It is an ideal holiday resort.

2. Islands: Koh Rong, Koh Rong Samloem and Koh Ta Kiv are suitable for holidays near Xigang. Among them, Gaolong Island has become a commercial island with many foreign backpackers. There are many accommodation options on the island. If you like excitement, Gaolong Island is a good choice. Sharon Island in Gao Long is quiet, the sea water is not polluted, and the beach is much cleaner than Gaolong Island. The most beautiful is Sarrasin Bay, where there is a 6-kilometer-long half-moon fine white sand beach, which is an excellent place to take photos of the beach. If you choose to stay here for one night, you can still see the glowing sea water dancing in the water like thousands of fireflies at night. There is only one accommodation to choose from on Taki Island, which is quieter than other islands. If you want to experience the feeling of going into the wild, you can stay on this island for a few days.

Kampot Resort: Located in the southeast of Sihanoukville, 1 hour drive, the buildings in this area are very French.

4.Bokor Mountain: Bokor Mountain is a national forest park in Cambodia, with lush vegetation, waterfalls and quiet environment. Aochedie Beach is the favorite beach of local people, and of course it is also the favorite beach of tourists. There are many special bars and restaurants along the beach. You can swim in the sea, play beach volleyball, and have a drink and eat when you are tired. That kind of satisfaction is absolutely unforgettable. The other two beaches are mainly gathering places for high-end hotels. There are many beautiful scenery, but they have been taken in by local hotels, which may only allow visitors. The beach here is not particularly big or spectacular, but it is clean and tidy and worth visiting!

The northern end of Occheuteal Beach is Serendipity Beach, which is a safe haven for backpackers, so it is undoubtedly the most popular beach here. It is beautiful here, but it is not always quiet. If you go south, the number will gradually decrease. After crossing the small cape at the southern end of the beach, you will see an empty white sand in front of you. This is the reward for your diligent exploration-Outlet Beach. Shengli beach is close to the main gathering place of backpackers, but it is dirty. You can see the port from here. Lamherkay, Koh Pos, Independence Beach and Sokha are other beaches worth mentioning, but the latter two beaches are not open to the public. Perhaps because of the "ingenious" way of fishing with fried Yao in the past, the underwater activities in the waters near Sihanoukville Port are not as enviable as those in Indonesia and Thailand. However, as long as you are willing to take a little risk and spend the night in Gotham Island, your efforts will bring you more excitement. Sihanoukville has 6-7 diving shops.

Scuba Nation is the first diving center certified by PADI in Cambodia and the only five-star coach training center in Cambodia. The common languages of the center are English, Chinese and French, and you can get any certificate from junior certificate to coach in this center.

Gangrong Diving Center is the largest diving center in the western port, with a wide range of business, including: Gaolong Island accommodation, diving research, western port-Gaolong Island speedboat and free accommodation in Gaolong Island.

EcoSea Dive is jointly run by Japanese and Cambodians, offering diving or snorkeling tours as well as courses certified by PADI and SSI. Yunlang National Park is a big stage for performing boat tours, which has dual functions of exploration and education. This group tour has been from mangrove swamp to the uninhabited beach by the sea that has been protected. Many hotels will arrange various groups to travel through this national park (about US 15), and you are likely to see dolphins or apes on the way. The park is only13km away from Sihanoukville.
