Komemon and Hansawa Naoki
Those who like Japanese dramas should be familiar with Komemon and Hansawa Naoki, right?
Gu Meimen plays a lawyer who has never lost a lawsuit in the play.
He loves money, beauty, enjoyment, prosperity and luxury goods. He is venomous, cold, unprincipled, and money-oriented. Logically speaking, he should make people disgusted, but I even think that many people can't dislike him, but like him instead. Some people even call him "Gu Meimeng".
I think there are several reasons:
1? Gu Meimen buys a lot of luxury goods and puts money first, which actually increases his own sense of security. It can also be seen from his behavior of avoiding appendix surgery because the failure rate was only 5%. His dependence on Hattori is actually caused by his own lack of sense of security. A large part of the reason for his lack of security comes from his father. His father had always adopted a tough education for him and placed too much emphasis on morality, which made Xiaogu Meimen fear his father, and the severance of the relationship between father and son deepened his fear. He is a child who desperately needs coaxing. The audience will naturally be more tolerant and sympathetic to him when he is a bystander.
2? The appearance of Dai. Dai is a lawyer with a strong sense of justice. She respects morality, abides by the rules, and is not ashamed of Gu Meimen's unscrupulous methods to succeed. She also expresses her disapproval of Gu Meimen's lawyer's behavior many times in the play. If such a character is placed in another drama, she will become what Gu Meimen calls "the heroine of a morning drama" and people will complain about her. But in such a drama with clear conflicts, Dai's appearance neutralizes the negative impact of Gu Meimen, and their rivalry makes the characters more distinct. Direct the audience's attention to the case itself.
3? Masato Sakai has created an extremely successful character image. I think the core of this character lies in Gu Meimen's heart. As mentioned earlier, Gu Meimen's extreme lack of security shows that Gu Meimen's inner world is immature and his mental age is very low. Therefore, he sometimes needs someone to coax him, someone to take care of him, and someone to take care of his emotions. He sometimes makes some very exaggerated actions and says some very exaggerated words. At these times, he was like a child having a tantrum. The reliance on Hattori also reflects this.
Sakai Masato created a completely different character from Komemon in "Hansawa Naoki". This drama is simply "a story about ordinary people's revenge." But why is it so popular in Japan? I think it’s not just because it’s adapted from a novel by a Naoki Award winner, but also because of the charm of the character Naoki Hansawa himself.
1 Hansawa Naoki is a good person. He has a happy family and a reasonable wife. This satisfies most viewers' requirements for a good guy, since Japanese people are quite family-oriented. And the misfortunes he encountered in childhood - the closure of his family's factory and his father's suicide - made people full of sympathy for him.
2 Hanzawa Naoki is a high-quality man. Despite family difficulties, he finished college and successfully entered the Central Bank. And in just a few years, he reached the position of head of the financing section of Osaka Nishi Branch. He started his own family and had friends who helped him in times of need - Kondo and Watari Mari, who were at the same time as him.
3 Hansawa Naoki is extremely stoic. His famous saying: "Tit for tooth, repay twice as much". In this way, he got through the crisis of "the mistakes made by the boss are borne by the subordinates, but the merits of the subordinates are taken by the boss", and relied on this to enter the Tokyo headquarters. However, fate always plays tricks on people, and he discovered that Director Yamato was the bank employee who refused to take out a loan from his father and ultimately caused his father to commit suicide. Under tremendous pressure, he saved the Iseshima Hotel and responded to the inspection by the prosecutor's office. At the end of the TV show, Yamato knelt down and apologized to Naoki. This arouses passion in people's hearts and makes people feel a kind of spiritual satisfaction.
Since watching these two dramas, Masato Sakai has become my idol. His acting skills are really beyond praise.
The above are all personal opinions. There are a hundred Hamlets in the eyes of a hundred people. These are just my superficial understandings.
