Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City
The post office was built at the end of19th century and was designed for French architects. The hall is luxuriously decorated and full of classical flavor. On both sides of the spacious hall are business counters, with circular benches in the middle from outside to inside, and a map of Vietnam on the left and right sides of the hall, which is said to be hand-painted by French geographers. Domes, round flower windows, gorgeous chandeliers, patterned wall lamps and electric fans all reveal the style of Gothic architecture. The central post office is still in use today. People can take photos at will, or sit there in a daze, or watch everything in the hall.
