Station structure of Tokyo station

The main buildings on the ground of Tokyo Station are roughly divided into Marunouchi Station Building (Marunouchi Inner Entrance) on the west side of the station area and Yaeyama Station Building (Yaeyama Entrance) on the east side of the station area. JR's elevated track and platform area are located in the vast hinterland between the two main buildings, which are roughly distributed side by side in the north-south direction. Under the elevated track and platform area, there are three east-west access roads located on the first floor-North Access Road, Central Access Road and Nantong Road, connecting Marunouchi Station Building, Bachongshan Station Building and the toll area elevated platform; In addition, on the north side of the North Passage, there is a North Free Passage, which is located outside the payment area and is only for people to pass between the two main buildings. In the entrance and exit part, the entrance in Marunouchi and the entrance in Bachongzhou are divided into three entrances: North Gate, Middle Gate and South Gate. In addition, there is a Japanese Bridge entrance located in the northeast of the station area, with a special ticket gate for passengers to enter and exit the Shinkansen platform.

Marunouchi's station building is a red brick building in the Renaissance. It is three stories high except for the octagonal roofs in the south and north and the triangular trapezoidal roof in the central part. The rest of the station building is two stories high (originally, the whole station building was a "complete" three-story building, but it was built after being damaged by bombing at the end of World War II. See the section "Future Plan" for details). The station building on one side of Bazhong Island is a high-rise building with 12 floors above ground and two floors underground. The underground part of Tokyo Station mainly includes the fourth and fifth floors (west side) underground of Marunouchi Station Square, the JR General Line and Yokosuka Line Station in the northeast-southwest direction (the fourth floor is the hall floor and the fifth floor is the platform floor), and the second floor is the Marunouchi Line Station of Tokyo Metro in the north-south direction; In addition, there is the east-west JR Jingyi Line Station (the third floor is the lobby floor and the fourth floor is the platform floor), which is located in the far south of the main station area and on the third and fourth floors underground of Fuji Bridge (near Yurakucho).

The three underground stations are connected with each other outside the payment area through a free passage located on the first floor underground, and the free passage is also connected with the underground station located below the first floor north free passage, the underground free passage on the first floor underground of the Yaeyama side station building (also located outside the payment area) and the underground passage in Otomachi district. On the same floor, there is also a central underground passage under the central passage on the first floor, connecting the underground payment areas on both sides. In addition to the payment area on the ground floor of the side station building of Bazhong Island, it is also connected with the underground street of Bazhong Island on the ground floor of the square in front of the station building (East).

In addition, there is a 500m-long Yaeyama (underground) connecting passage on the south side of the ticket gate of Shinkansen South Interchange, which is close to the Yaeyama side station building and connects the main station area and JR Jing Yao Line Station. Central Line, Keihin Tohoku Line, Yamanote Line, Tokaido Line and Shinkansen Line.

They are all equipped with elevated island platforms (equivalent to the height of two floors above the ground) for trains to stop. * * * Platform 10, with 20 tracks. The east side of 10 track is directly adjacent to the 20-line track, and the east side of the 23-line track is directly adjacent to 14 track, forming a whole side-by-side arrangement under special track numbering mode.

An island platform used in the track 1 and Line 2 and the central line is "re-elevated" on the original elevated track and platform area, so its height is higher than other tracks and platforms (equivalent to the height of three floors above the ground); Therefore, the center line platform and the first floor hall are connected by long escalators except the stairs at both ends of the platform.

The island platform is located on the fifth floor underground for trains to stop. There are 2 platforms and 4 tracks. There are stairs and escalators on the west side of the inner end of the central access road Marunouchi, which leads to the JR General Army Line and Yokosuka Line station payment area on the basement level. Close to transfer to Marunouchi Line of Tokyo Metro; It's also a JR route to change to the Beijing-Yeh line in the toll area, which is a long way.
