Du Mu's background information

Du Mu (803- 852 AD) was born in Fanchuan, Han nationality, Jingzhao Wannian (now Xi, Shaanxi).

Du Mu was an outstanding poet and essayist in Tang Dynasty, the grandson of Du You, the prime minister, and the son of Du You. Tang Wenzong Daiwa was a 26-year-old scholar in the second year and was awarded the post of Hong Wen Pavilion. Later, he went to Jiangxi to inspect the ambassador's tent, and then turned to Huainan to inspect the ambassador's tent. He was the editor of the National History Museum, the food department, Bibi department and Si Xun, and the secretariat of Huangzhou, Chizhou and Zhou Mu.

Du Mu lived in the late Tang Dynasty when domestic troubles and foreign invasion deepened. He was concerned about state affairs since he was a child, and he cherished the ideal of saving the peril and restoring the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty. At the age of 23, he wrote A Gong Fang Fu, taking the abuse of power and extravagance in the Qin Dynasty as a warning, which sounded the alarm for the rulers of this dynasty.

Poetry creation is the most prominent aspect of Du Mu, which is as famous as Li Shangyin, another outstanding poet in the late Tang Dynasty, and is also called "Little Du Li". Influenced by Du Fu and Han Yu, his classical poems have a wide range of themes and bold brushwork. Long stories such as Drinking Alone in Counties and Villages emphasize the poet's ambition of "mending clothes all his life" to save things to save the world and express his inner gratitude.

The Poem of Feeling for the Heart reflects the turbulent history of the buffer region in the decades after the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty. It has a magnificent picture and rich emotions, which can be read together with its lyrics (Zhou Shi Shi Hua by Weng Fanggang).

Du Mu was the 13th in the family, so he was called "Du Thirteen" according to the custom of the Tang Dynasty. Du Mu's political talent is outstanding. When Du Mu was a teenager, he crusaded against the buffer region in Tang Xianzong, inspiring state affairs. After studying, he cares about the army. Later, Du Mu specialized in Sun Tzu's Art of War, wrote thirteen articles about Sun Tzu's Art of War, and wrote many policy addresses.

In the second year of Changqing (822), Du Mu was 20 years old. He studied classics and history extensively, paying special attention to riot control and military affairs. Du Mu wrote Epang Palace Fu at the age of 23. At the age of 25, Du Mu wrote a five-character ancient poem "Poem of Feeling for the Heart" to express his views on the issue of the buffer region. At this time, Du Mu was already very famous and his works were circulated.

In the second year of Daiwa (828), Du Mu was 26 years old and was a scholar. In the same year, in the exam, the virtuous founder spoke out and was awarded the title of President of Pavilion, and tried to join the army for soldier Cao Zuo.

In the seventh year of Daiwa (833), Du Mu was awarded the post of promotion officer by Niu Senru, the ambassador of Huainan, and later became the secretary in charge of the official documents of our government. Beijing's title is to supervise the empire. At this time, Du Mu lived in Yangzhou, and he especially liked banquets.

In the ninth year of Daiwa, Du Mu was recruited by the imperial court as an imperial adviser and went to Chang 'an to serve as the capital. In August, he took office in Luoyang, the eastern capital. So I escaped the sinister storm of manna change in November. Here, he met Zhang, an old friend of Xuanzhou, and wrote a famous poem. During his stay in Luoyang, due to his leisure time, he visited historical sites and wrote many poems.
