Su Shi's Translation of Later Scenes of Wanghailou

The evening scene of Wanghailou translated by Su Shi is as follows:

Original poem:

Crossing the wind and rain into the building is spectacular. When the rain ebbs and flows, the sea is blue, and when the lightning flashes and thunders, the purple snake is chosen.

Translation of ancient poems:

The wind blows and the rain blows, and the sea tower is tilted. Magnificent landscapes should be praised with gorgeous words. After the storm, the tide was calm and clear, and lightning flashed from time to time, forming a purple-gold dragon snake.

Appreciation of ancient poetry:

There are five night scenes of Wanghailou, and this is the second one. Some people think that Su Shi's poems are not well written. He said, "You should praise it well", but he didn't say a word. As soon as I turn, I turn to "The rain has passed." That's a big talk, there is no following.

This poem is about the night scene like Wanghailou. At first, the momentum was fierce, as if there were a lot of excitement, but in the blink of an eye, the rain was gone, the horizon was boundless, and the changes were staggering. In fact, it is not only nature that is auspicious, but also everything in the world. Older people have experienced many things and will encounter similar phenomena more than once.
