You also need to take a bus from Phuket to Koala (80km), and then take a speedboat or yacht to arrive. Coral protection is average, but snorkeling is still possible.

There are generally PP Island and Emperor Island in Phuket. Snorkeling is good, but the hotels above are more expensive.
