How do guide dogs spend their lives?

A guide dog's life is to serve us and help more people, which is also the significance of realizing it.

Guide dogs must know not to obey any orders that put blind operators in danger. This ability, called selective disobedience, is probably the most surprising thing for guide dogs-they can strike a balance between obedience and their own assessment of the situation.

This ability is extremely important in crosswalks. On the crosswalk, the controller and the dog must cooperate closely to pass safely. When the motorcade reached the roadside, the guide dog stopped and sent a signal to the controller to inform them that they had reached the crosswalk. Guide dogs can't tell the color of traffic lights, so the controller must decide when it is safe to cross the road. They rely on their own hearing to judge the traffic flow and people flow, find out when the signal light changes, and then send a "forward" command to the guide dog. If there is no danger, the guide dog will cross the road in a straight line. If a car approaches, the guide dog will wait until the danger disappears before acting in the order of progress.

In the cooperative group composed of pilots and guide dogs, guide dogs do not lead pilots, and pilots do not completely control guide dogs. The two of them need to work together to get from one place to another. The guide dog doesn't know where the destination is, so it must follow the controller's instructions and know how far to go and when to turn. Pilots can't see the obstacles on the road ahead, so guide dogs must decide for themselves how to navigate for the whole team, and each half of the team depends on each other to complete the marching task.

As a guide dog gains more experience in dealing with similar tasks, it may take on more responsibilities. For example, many experienced guide dogs know all the destinations of their owners every day. The owners only need to tell them to "go to the office" or "find the coffee shop", and the guide dogs will follow and take their owners to complete the complete route!
