Datong Folk Customs:
One of the Datong customs - Marriage Customs. In ancient marriage, young men and women were ordered by their parents to be united by a matchmaker, and their marriage etiquette was also quite complicated. of. As stated in "Datong County Chronicles": "The matchmaker communicated with the parents of both families, made a promise, and then sent Geng Tie to marry, predict the date, and betrothal. The name was: Exchange Tie, which means asking for names and accepting betrothal gifts in ancient times; when the day of marriage comes, The ceremony of accepting money is called "serving tea"; it is accompanied by a letter of invitation, which is called "Tongshu", which means "Gunaji" and "Nazheng". In the daughter's family, the custom is to call the meat "Li Niang Meat", the noodles are called "Li Niang Meat", and the name is "Ji Zhuang". The girl's family will pay the dowry to the son-in-law's family with the dowry. When the time comes, the son-in-law's family will prepare a carriage and choose the daughter-in-law. Two people who are courteous and courteous will welcome their daughter, which is called marriage. The daughter's family also selects two people who are courteous and courteous to accompany their daughter to the son-in-law's house, which is called "bringing off". Gentlemen's families perform wedding ceremonies, but many common people do not welcome them in person. Only the daughter-in-law took pictures, and the son-in-law waited outside the door. After welcoming him into the central hall, an incense case was set up outside to bow. The son-in-law bowed, but the daughter did not. It was called "worship to heaven and earth," and the new couple performed the same ceremony as in ancient times. Worshiping ancestors, parents and eldest relatives is called "worshiping hall", which is the ceremony to meet one's uncle and aunt in ancient temples. On this day, a woman's furniture, wine and food are sent to her husband's house, which is the ancient ceremony to give to one's uncle and aunt. When a son-in-law meets his wife's parents, it is a ritual. If you travel in three days, if it is auspicious to travel after three or five days, the daughter will follow her husband to visit her relatives, and the name will be "return to the door." It will be the same at the end of the month, and the daughter will return after staying for one month, and the name will be "live in the opposite month." This is a common etiquette. "After liberation, with the changes of the times, the wedding ceremony in Datong area has become much simpler than before. However, in order to bring good luck to the wedding, the groom usually wears red flowers when welcoming the bride. The groom's brother-in-law or close friend will serve as the groom's best friend. The groom will bring a red cloth belt to the bride, which is called "Happy Marriage"; he also brings a bottle with a green onion in it, which is called "Take Root and Stand." "After"; a piece of pork with five ribs is also called "Li Niang meat", which is called "Five Directions of Auspiciousness". When the bride gets on the car, the bride's family will send a plate of dumplings to the groom's family, with big red paper-cut characters on it, saying "family happiness"; at the same time, the bride's family will chop out the "liang's meat". A few ribs are given to the groom to take back to express the harmony between the couple after marriage, which is called "the bones and muscles are inseparable". When the groom and the bride held their wedding, the five-star red flag was hung in the courtyard. The wedding ceremony procedure is: (the master of ceremonies sings the ceremony)

★Datong Customs★Part 2 - Funeral customs The funeral customs of ancient Datong were quite complicated.
Generally, it can be divided into small gatherings, big gatherings, paper burning, lamp delivery, mourning, funeral, and three procedures. As stated in "Datong County Chronicles": "When the relatives first died, they cried countless times. After the small ones were completed, they were buried in relatives and friends. The great achievements and above were all wrapped up with hemp, which was called: Santou; the family members wrapped their heads in torn cloth, and it was done in three days. The funeral ceremony is held in the middle hall, and a memorial ceremony is held day and night; sacrifices must be made at every meal.
On that day, relatives and colleagues all used paper to express their condolences, which was called "burning paper"; that night, they cried in the Chenghuang Temple, which was called "sending lanterns"; on the seventh day, relatives and friends paid homage to each other, which was called "shenghan", which was also called "opening the condolence". ; In particular, it is necessary to extend the rites to pay tribute to the experts; the poor people of the common people often bury them on seven or nine days, and the rich people also bury them after many years, which is not etiquette. Only gentlemen and common people who know the etiquette will be buried within a hundred days. A few days before the funeral, the obituary is given to relatives and friends who should attend the funeral. On the first three days, relatives and friends gather to pay homage, which is called "Ci Ling". The ceremony is just like hanging a funeral, and it is also the same at the funeral. They place the memorial seat, set up the soul silk, set up inscriptions, paint portraits, make bright vessels, and serve as gods. The instructions for moving the coffin, setting up a memorial ceremony, and worshiping the earth gods were all in the same order. But the common people respected Buddhism, so after being buried for three days, the owner offered sacrifices to the tomb, which was named Fu San, and then returned to the round tomb. There are also gentlemen in the family who cry at the tomb on the third or fifth day. "After liberation, with the changes of the times, funeral customs were greatly simplified. Especially after the crematorium was built in Datong City in 1966, burials were gradually eliminated. Most people only held memorial services, where relatives and friends went to pay their respects, and then buried the deceased. The deceased is sent to the crematorium for cremation. This civilized and simple funeral form has gradually become generally accepted by the people. The procedure of the memorial service is: (one person sings the ceremony)
1. The memorial service begins and everyone stands in silence;
2. Laying wreaths and delivering eulogies;
3. Playing mourning music; 4. Holding a moment of silence (three minutes of silence);
5. Delivering eulogies; 6. Bow three times to the deceased;
7. Burn the wreath and burn the eulogy;
8. The ceremony is completed.
The funeral elegiac couple returns to the west with the sound of the crane. Now, old and true, good hope everlasting, hardworking for a lifetime, lasting for eternity, deep mourning, unrequited ambition, withered beauty, living in self-denial, dedicated to the public life, hard work, dying to commemorate the revolution, simplicity for the people, high demeanor, hometown spirit, return to China to express the festival According to posterity, the hall is filled with blood and tears flying into the sky. The tragic news is heard. The tragic song is moving. I want to see the voice and face are empty, but the tears will follow the iron oath. I want to hear the teachings. The apricot is silent. The hope of dying is still there. The autumn wind violently destroys the ancestors' bamboo body. The voice and face are still there. The cold tears are shed in the middle of the night. Spread Sun Lan and hold my grandson. The kindness in the past was as deep as the sea. I have not repaid the kindness. I am ashamed to be my son. Now I am heartbroken and weeping. It is difficult to get rid of the shame of being a half-son and a deep love. The building is full of sorrow. The beams are broken. The traces of immortals are fragrant. The clouds are frightening. Mount Tai is bewildered. Yi Fankan I boast that I have gone to Jiuquan to pay homage to the spirit vehicle, but I am deeply saddened by it
★Datong Customs★ No. 3 - Birth Customs In Datong area, after a baby is born, his grandfather and grandmother must give gifts to the newborn baby Gifts such as clothes, bedding, pillows, shoes and socks. When the child is 12 days old, women from relatives and friends will come to visit the mother and bring them some brown sugar, noodles, cakes and other gifts as a token of appreciation. Condolences. There must also be a casual meal at the mother's home to entertain guests. During the delivery period, it is taboo for outsiders to enter the delivery room, especially for men from outside the home. In order to prevent anyone from breaking in, a red cloth is hung on the door to express condolences. If there is a pregnant woman at home, outsiders are not allowed to enter. Before the full moon, the baby's parents or other elders must give the baby a name. At the beginning, it must have a "baby name", also called a "nickname", which does not include the surname. The baby is given a name, also called an "official name", which is connected with the surname. This name will be used when registering for residence and going to school in the future. One month after the baby is born, the parents will give it a "full moon", and a hundred days will give it a "hundred month". "Day", and birthdays on the first anniversary.
On the "Full Moon", "Hundred Days" and birthdays, parents' relatives and friends will bring gifts to express their congratulations, and they will also hold banquets to entertain guests. Nowadays, only children are the most common. The baby's "full moon", "hundred days" and birthday are very grand, and some even have a big banquet for guests. When the child reaches 12 years old, there is even more celebration, which is called "Yuansuo". Birth greetings: A thousand-mile horse, a gift from heaven, a sweet osmanthus, a unicorn that brings good fortune, a daughter of gold, a pearl in your hand, a jubilee, a katydid, a tile of auspiciousness, and a swallow's wings. Mou, melon, Yanxiang, Xitianhanyi ★Datong Customs★ No. 4 - Names and Customs Every child is born, and his parents must give him a name. There is also a custom in Datong area for naming children. Every parent or parents should name their children according to their own values, aesthetic views, interests and hobbies, expectations and admiration...etc. The standard requirements are: it sounds good to pronounce, and it is called It sounds loud, looks good when written, and has profound meaning when recalled. A name that can meet the requirements of these four standards is a good name. Any good name must be something you like, your family will like, and it will win the favor of others.
So, how can we meet the above four standard requirements? With this problem in mind, the author visited some seniors, celebrities, experts, and scholars. To sum up, there are roughly five rules:
1. Naming according to genealogy: As far back as the Sui and Tang Dynasties in the Datong area, Confucianism There has been development, and some famous families have gradually emerged. In order to show off their family's prestige, pass it on hereditary, and hope to be famous for generations, they write family trees. When writing a family tree, the names, official positions, official achievements, etc. of the ancestors are generally recorded according to the number of generations. Each generation can continue to record. This trend of continuing to write family trees became even more popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, not only among famous families, but also among ordinary well-off families, especially in rural areas. Whenever a child is born, first check which generation his father belongs to? What are the names of the children's peers? What should a child be called next to his siblings' names? It was decided as a name. The most particular family names based on seniority belong to the four prominent Confucian families of Confucius, Mencius, Zeng, and Yan (i.e., Confucius, Meng He, Zeng Shen, and Yan Hui). According to the records of "Historical Records": Liu Bang, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, "returned from Huainan and passed through Lu in December of the twelfth year of the emperor's reign, and sacrificed Tailao (one pig, one cow, and one sheep) to Confucius." Later, Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty Tuoba Hong and Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty Li Zhi, Xuanzong Li Longji, Northern Zhou Taizu Guo Wei, Song Zhenzong Zhao Heng, Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty all went to Qufu to worship Confucius in order to show their respect for Confucianism. In particular, Emperor Qianlong visited Confucius eight times and visited Confucius on the ninth day of Qianlong's reign. Thirty words were given to the Confucian government in 1998: I hope that the public will inherit the words, and the news will be extended. Xingyu passed on to Guang, Zhaoxian was celebrated and prosperous. Let Dewei bless you, and Qin Shao's thoughts be prominent. In 1920, Kong Lingyi, the 76th generation descendant of Confucius, added another 20 words: Building roads leads to stability, and repairing oranges leads to longevity. Yuwen Huanjingrui, Yongxi Shixuchang. Since Emperor Qianlong gave the name to the family, not only the Kong family members were named after it, but the Meng family, Zeng family, and Yan family also followed suit and were all named according to the fifty characters. Since the Spring and Autumn Period, the descendants of these four families have multiplied in large numbers and are spread all over the country and abroad, including in the Datong area. When they meet in other places, as long as they mention their surnames, they will know which generation they belong to. If there is a banquet, ask about the situation, and help each other if there is financial difficulty.
2. Naming according to expectations: When every child is born, parents have expectations for their child’s character, temperament, behavior, career, etc. Some expect fame and wealth, some expect prosperity, and some They expect loyalty, filial piety, justice, and some expect benevolence, wisdom, etiquette, righteousness, and so on. When naming, they use these words; for girls, they expect her to be gentle, virtuous, and like flowers and jade, so when naming, they often use flowers, grass, Words such as orchid, zhen, ying, ling, branch, plum, e, phoenix, qin, qin, xia, chrysanthemum, peach, fairy...etc.
3. Naming by location: The parents’ ancestral place, the child’s birthplace, birth time, parents’ wedding place, and memorable times and places can all be used as names. For example, the son of a certain leader of the People's Liberation Army was born during the battle in the Taihang Mountains. In order to commemorate the years of fighting in the Taihang Mountains and express his infinite affection for the people of the Taihang Mountains, he gave his child a very resounding name - Taihang; one child was born in 1960. In 1999, when the country was in poverty and the family was poor, his parents named him Lu Ling in order to keep him in mind; there was a child whose father was from Shaanxi and whose mother was from Shanxi, so they named the child Qin Jin; and another child was named Qin Jin. The parents gave birth to their first girl named Lingling. When they gave birth to their second child, they really wanted to raise a boy. Unexpectedly, a girl was born. The parents hoped that Yu Wan would never have another girl in the future, so they named the girl "Zhi". "Ling", in order to cultivate this girl to be promising and to emit a fragrance like a flower in the future, the forbidden word was added with the prefix "grass", which happened to be the word "zhi". According to the meaning of the word, it is a white flower with small white flowers and a fragrant white peony. . This thing sounds funny at first glance, but on the other hand, it also reflects an idea of ??naming.
4. Named after chance encounters: Before and after the child was born, what good dreams did the parents have, what things and things they encountered when going out, and what were memorable, are all the materials for naming. For example, the mother of a child dreamed of a snake when she was giving birth, so she named the child Menglong; the father of a child dreamed of a big tree with leafy branches, so he named the child Dashu; some parents dreamed of a snake. If the child is named after gold, he will be born with gold; no matter how bad the dreamed things and things are, in order to make them auspicious and auspicious, they should round them into a good omen and use the phrase "unfortunate dreams for auspicious dreams" to comfort myself.
5. Name according to the scenery you admire: Everyone has his own aesthetic point of view and admires certain scenery. For example, animals include tiger, leopard, ox, dragon, horse, etc.; plants include pine, cypress, and forest. , flower, poplar. Willows, etc.; landscapes include mountains, seas, rivers, peaks, rocks, water, etc.; mineral deposits include gold, silver, iron, tin, jade, etc.; colors include red, yellow, blue, white, etc.; and even natural phenomena. Light, brightness, brightness, sun, moon, etc. Naming according to these scenery is also very effective, especially in recent years, when only one child is born in many, the name can be given without considering the arrangement of his brothers and sisters. With the changes in society, the concept of family has gradually become indifferent, and there is no need to consider the cousins ??and uncles. The arrangement of the sisters' names allows the child's parents to give their children a satisfactory name as they wish.
★Datong Customs★Part 5—Wang Customs Datong area is rich in coal resources, which is bound to have various connections with the local people's clothing, food, housing and transportation. Therefore, the role of coal has penetrated into customs and customs as far back as ancient times, among which making a strong fire is a local custom. Every Spring Festival and New Year's Eve, large pieces of coal are used to build a tower in front of the courtyard door of every household, which is called a prosperous fire. It is for good luck and wishes for prosperity throughout the year. Put firewood inside, and write a big red note on it, "Prosperity is soaring."
At midnight, when the firecrackers go off, the fire will be lit. After being lit, flames spurt out from numerous small holes, resembling a floating figure, which is both cold-proof and spectacular. Adults and children gathered around the fire, some played games, and some set off firecrackers. All men, women and children came to warm themselves by the fire in order to "boost the sky." Children can also walk around the streets and observe and comment on the size of the fire. Whose fire is bigger and more prosperous, and whose fire is more prosperous. As stated in the "Datong County Chronicle" of the Qing Dynasty: "On New Year's Day, every family cuts charcoal and firewood and sets up a fortress, which looks like a small floating picture. When it is sent out in time, it is called Wanghuo, which means Dadahuo in the provincial capital." Nowadays, it is called Wanghuo. The custom of fire has developed again in Datong. Not only during the Chinese New Year, but also during weddings, funerals or major festivals. Some are done in winter to keep warm; some are done in summer for good luck. When it comes to the grand scale of Wanghuo and the exquisiteness of its shape, Huairen Wanghuo is the best. It has four major characteristics:
1. Excellent coal preparation. Pre-select high-quality raw coal before the Lantern Festival, dig it out mechanically or manually, and then carefully cut it into neat squares;
2. Beautiful appearance. It is necessary to hire a skilled master to build the vigorous fire into the shape of a vase with a small base, a large belly, a top, and an empty interior. Only in this way can the burning be completely exhausted without the vigorous fire collapsing;
3. It will increase year by year. In order to achieve the metaphorical meaning that one year is better than another, it is required that when building a prosperous fire, it must be higher every year than the previous year. The specific size of the increase is determined by the owner's expectations;
4. Huge scale. Every year, fifty or sixty huge fires are built in the streets of Huairen County. The largest one is made of 80 tons of coal and is three feet high, which is huge in scale. Every time the lanterns are lit during the Lantern Festival, all these powerful fires spit out long tongues of fire, licking the earth and the sky. The red light is dazzling and brilliant, just like flying dragons swallowing clouds and spitting fire, inviting people to swim in the beautiful world, bringing people It is a sign of "good luck" and "making fortune". Therefore, crowds of people from hundreds of miles away come to watch the fire, and some people even circle the largest fire three times forward and three times in the hope that their whole family will be safe and well-being, and all their wishes will come true. These prosperous scenes once caused a sensation abroad, and some overseas Chinese from Hong Kong and Macao and international friends also came to feast their eyes on it. This was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, adding a new color to the Datong tourist area...
Fanren talk about Datong , people quickly thought of coal and Yungang Grottoes. These are naturally famous for a long time. Those who know more about Datong have visited Shangxia Huayan Temple, Nine Dragon Wall, Drum Tower, etc. But as a Datong person who has lived here for more than 30 years, I just want to express my feelings about Datong.
When I was in elementary school, I would go to the Yungang Grottoes every year during the Children's Day holiday. I didn't see anything special about it, and I was already used to its majesty and majesty. As for coal, this black carbon is everywhere where we live. Every day we have to smash the coal to make a fire, and we are always somewhat blind to its existence.
Datong is located in the northwest end of Shanxi Province, in the Xingluo branch of seven counties and four districts. In my understanding, the standard for distinguishing Datong people is based on pronunciation.
People in Datong have a characteristic in speaking. They pronounce the same sound with or without retroflex, and there is no distinction between front and back nasals. However, although people in Datong County also speak the dialect of Datong, they do not roll their tongues, and they emphasize it. If you buy something in Datong, people will tell you: four yuan.
You have to ask clearly. You must add body language and gestures with your hands as necessary: ??Is it four? Or ten? Because the sounds of four and ten in Datong Mandarin are the same.
Datong County is not far from the city. You can grow some fruits and vegetables to supplement your family income, and your life is pretty good. The same cannot be said for Yanggao and Tianzhen, which are far away from the urban area. The land there is barren, the farmers live a very poor life, and they are frugal to the point of extreme poverty.
The Zuoyun people who grew up eating oatmeal noodles and yam eggs are accustomed to speaking with an accent. Zuo Yun's man always has a simple and honest smile on his face, speaks very little, and bears everything silently. Zuo Yun's woman seems to be very eloquent. I have always admired Zuo Yun's woman, who can make so many different ways to eat oatmeal noodles: push them into nests, roll them into fish, shape dumplings, wrap stuffings, roll out tontons, stir them into cakes, Pressed cheese... If you are not an out-and-out Zuoyun person who was born and raised here, it would be difficult to do it.
Hunyuan County has the famous Beiyue Hengshan Mountain, the famous Xuankong Temple, and the delicious little daughter-in-law jelly. Hunyuan is also a place where beautiful women are born, and they are beautiful and delicious. Hunyuan people have a colloquial habit of saying: "唔cyn". That's what it means.
In my mind, Huairen is also part of Datong, although Huairen has now returned to Shuozhou. People with benevolence indeed have "benevolence". Men value feelings, have stable and kind personalities, and women are tolerant, hard-working, and work hard without complaining. Huairen's famous delicacy "Tanggansuo" is also a must-have.
People living in the south of Datong are accustomed to calling themselves "people from Sichuan." The people and land in Sichuan are located near the city, and the land is fertile. It can also be close to the city to increase other income, and it has a special cultural heritage. Although people in Sichuan also belong to the suburbs, people in Sichuan are used to distinguishing themselves from suburbanites. People in Sichuan like to build a neat and wide courtyard with a flower pond planted with cannas and roses. They don't grow vegetables like onions to people in the suburbs. They have vegetable plots. People in Sichuan are also very frugal. When you walk into the courtyard, you will be greeted by a woman wearing patched clothes. Don't be surprised, she is the mistress of the courtyard.
Men in the suburbs generally behave indifferently, not caring about spending money, not caring about eating, and not caring about making friends, but they are not lacking in fun. What they usually say is: go home and amuse your wife and play with the children. Putting their wives and children together also shows their machismo. Women in the suburbs are particularly capable. They keep everything in order inside and outside the house. Although men put them on the same level as their children, they are still women at heart.
Lao Da and his colleagues like to explore ancient times. If you ask for directions, they have four main streets, seven alleys, and seventy-two alleys. Open your mouth and you will see East Street, West Street, South Street and North Street. The word "jie" here is pronounced as "jie". The most popular department store of the last century is also deeply ingrained in their hearts. The department store is not called a department store but a Hongqi mall.
The men in Datong are very generous. When drinking, they use steel cups, and they drink beer after drinking white ones. When do you say: "You're not done drinking yet! Waiter! Bring me more wine!" That means you're already drunk. The men in Datong are very handsome and dashing. They are used to spitting for pleasure. If you glare at him, he will say coolly: "If you don't spit, it will make you happy."
Datong beauties Also many. Walking on the street, you are busy turning around. She is tall, petite, fair and black, stylishly dressed, plain and elegant... Suddenly, you almost bump into the beauty in front of you, and you are panicking and bewildered. At that moment, the beauty lightly opened her red lips, smiled sweetly and whispered: "Chen Se!" You are so beautiful, you can probably stay beautiful for ten days and a half.
Datong people eat one kind of food at weddings, funerals, weddings, openings, and all celebrations, and that is fried cake. The meaning of cake is: promotion, prosperity, prosperity, high official and good salary. Anyway, it’s all the good wishes that are related to Gao. Cake is the most exquisite food. If you come to Datong and the host treats you as a staple food, you may not be used to it, but you must know that only when the host thinks you are a distinguished guest will he make fried cakes for you.
Cake is very complicated to make. First peel off the skin of the millet, then grind it into flour, mix it with cold water into a block shape, spread it evenly on the basket and steam it. After steaming, guess with your hands (check it out) Bantian Dictionary did not find a word matching the pronunciation of this dialect). Guessing the cake is the most difficult job. I still can’t learn it. It’s too hot. Good cake guessing skills only use cold water to cool the hands, without much water on the hands, and the cakes they make are very strong. Then, apply some sesame oil on the surface of the guessed cake, and a layer of small oil bubbles will appear in a while. This is called vegetarian cake.
Some people like to eat vegetarian cakes, eating them with scrambled eggs or broth. Cut the vegetarian cake into small pieces, wrap it with stuffing, and fry it in a pan. That's called fried cake. There are many kinds of cake fillings, such as egg and leek filling, soybean sprout and carrot filling, rose bean paste filling, etc. Making red bean paste filling is also very tedious. You need to use the specially selected red beans, boil them over high heat, and then simmer them over a warm fire. The resulting filling should look red and taste soft. Now it is convenient. Go to the supermarket and buy a bag of bean paste filling, which saves a lot of steps. You can also wrap it in sugar, or fry it into slices, and sprinkle sugar on top after frying. There is already a plate of red and green dishes on the table: mung bean sprouts mixed with vermicelli. How about it? Are you greedy?
On February 2, the dragon raises its head, which is one of the main folk customs in Datong.
In the old days of Datong, on the second day of the second month of the lunar calendar, early in the morning, each household would place the number of water-controlling dragon coins into a teapot according to that year. The so-called water-controlling dragon money refers to the first day of the first lunar month, that is, How many dragons are used to control the water; and then the number of dragons used to control the water is used to predict the prosperity of the year. Each household carries a pot to draw water from the well, fills it with water and sprinkles it while walking. Stop at the door of the house and pour the remaining water and money into the water urn. This is called "dragon money". At noon, every household eats noodles or potato vermicelli, which is called "picking the dragon's tail". On this day, men, women, old and young, trim their hair, which is called "dragon heads up".
With the development of society, every household has access to tap water, and activities like "dragon money" have lost their function. In my memory, my mother often buys a piece of white tofu on this day, peels off a green onion planted in the first month of the year, inserts an onion into one end of the tofu, and inserts a coin into one end. She treats it as a dragon and places it in a water urn or beside a pool to divert water. Enter home.
Nowadays, the traditional custom of February 2nd is still the most popular one of hair-cutting and hair-cutting. On this day, many barbershops welcome customers in. When they come out, everyone looks radiant, and it feels like they are starting from scratch. But most of them are caused by men who push their hair a lot, and women who are stinky and beautiful and don’t have much to spare to trim them.
February 2 always feels like the end of the year and the beginning of the next year. Psychologically, I always feel that after February 2, the year is over. However, with the accelerated pace of life and the indifferent Spring Festival, traditions and folk customs are no longer so important in people's minds.
