Hui 'an Jiahui Middle School was established.

Mr. Chen Rongchun and Mr. Li Ka-shing met in the 1980s and have been friends for many years. During the transition period of Hong Kong, Mr. Chen Rongchun was appointed by the central government as the Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Xinhua News Agency in Hong Kong, the Chinese representative of the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group, the Chinese chief representative of the Sino-British Land Commission, the trustee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Land Fund and the Chinese representative of the Hong Kong New Airport Construction Committee. Due to the need of work, Mr. Chen Rongchun had more contacts with Mr. Li Ka-shing and further established a good personal relationship. In a conversation, Mr. Li Ka-shing asked, "What is the most lacking in your county at present?" Mr. Chen Rongchun said: "Since ancient times, there has been a folk saying in my hometown that' pine and cypress are planted in thin land and poor children go to school'. In addition to developing the economy and improving people's livelihood, I am afraid that the most urgent need in my hometown is to invest in developing schools so that poor children in rural areas can have books to read. " Mr. Li Ka-shing felt the same way after hearing this. When we met again, Mr. Li Ka-shing told Mr. Chen Rongchun at the beginning that he decided to donate/kloc-0.50 million yuan to build a new middle school in Mr. Chen Rongchun's hometown and entrusted him with full authority to handle this matter. With this good news, Mr. Chen Rongchun immediately called the leaders of Hui 'an County and immediately went back to his hometown to discuss the establishment of the school. After returning to Hong Kong, Mr. Chen Rongchun personally declared the establishment of the school to Mr. Li Ka-shing, and asked Mr. Li Ka-shing for advice on the proposed naming of the school as "Li Ka-shing Middle School" in the county. Mr. Li was very modest and declined again and again. In order to respect Mr. Li's wishes, Mr. Chen Rongchun proposed to name it "Jiahui Middle School", and Mr. Li Ka-shing agreed, calling the name quite elegant. This name implies that Mr. Jiacheng built a middle school in Hui 'an, which can be described as the best of both worlds. This is the origin of Jiahui Middle School.
