Provisions of Guangdong Province on the Administration of Public Security in Hotel Industry

Legal Analysis: The Regulations on Public Security Management of Hotel Industry in Guangdong Province is formulated in accordance with the relevant national laws and regulations and the actual situation of Guangdong Province in order to maintain the public security order of the hotel industry, safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of hotels and passengers, and promote economic and social development. Its contents are: all hotels, guest houses, restaurants, hotels, mansions, guest houses, resorts, villas, sanatoriums, clubs, reception stations, etc. Hotels operating within the administrative area of Guangdong Province (hereinafter referred to as hotels) shall abide by these provisions. Foreign-related hotels run by the army in Guangdong shall be managed with reference to these regulations. The public security organs shall implement a special trade licensing system for the hotel industry. Industry and commerce, tourism, health and other administrative departments should do a good job in the management of the hotel industry according to their respective responsibilities. Hotel operators, passengers and other personnel engaged in hotel activities shall abide by the laws, regulations and these Provisions of the state and assist the public security organs and relevant departments in maintaining hotel public order.

Legal basis: Regulations of Guangdong Province on Public Security Management of Hotel Industry.

Article 5 Hotel operators shall meet the following safety conditions:

(a) building safety, fire control facilities in the business premises in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state;

(two) the distance between the hotel and the inflammable, explosive, toxic and radioactive dangerous goods warehouse and gas station conforms to the relevant provisions of the state;

(three) set up security agencies, equipped with security personnel;

(five) in accordance with the relevant provisions of the installation and use of hotel public security management information system, system software provided by the public security organs free of charge;

(six) the floor area of each bed in the guest room should be implemented in accordance with the national hotel industry hygiene standards;

(seven) other conditions stipulated by laws and regulations.
