Is there any interesting place on the east coast of Shantou?

There are a lot of buildings built in the early 20th century in the old town on the north bank of Rongjiang River in Shantou, and on the 1km road from Xidi Wharf in Shantou to WaiMa Lukou, which is the old town of Shantou.

Nan 'ao Island is the only island county in Guangdong Province. It consists of 37 islands with a land area of 130.90 square kilometers, of which the main island area is 128.35 square kilometers and the sea area is 4,600 square kilometers. It has more than 70,000 permanent residents. Nan 'ao Island is located in the east of Guangdong Province, in the center of Kaohsiung, Xiamen and Hong Kong, and close to major international routes in the western Pacific.

The East Coast New Town is located in the eastern coastal zone of Shantou City, starting from the Bay Bridge in the west, reaching Chenghai Laiwu in the east, the current coastline in the north and the isobath at an altitude of -5m in the south. The coastline stretches nearly 16 km, the east-west length is 12.5 km, and the north-south width is10 to 2.7 km, covering an area of about 24.25 square kilometers.

It is planned to be the future city center of Shantou, with administrative office, high-end commerce and modern logistics as the main parts, and an ecological new city integrating residence, culture, finance, commerce, tourism and leisure.

The planning and layout of the East Coast New Town is "one main, two secondary, three sections and seven districts". "One main and two secondary" means that the central system consists of the main center of Xinxi and two sub-centers of Xinjin and Tagangwei.
