Is the Eight Immortals Hotel a real case?

The Eight Immortals Hotel is a real case.

The murder of the Eight Immortals Hotel is a sensational murder in 1985.

The suspect, Huang Zhiheng, was suspected of killing a nine-owner and an employee of Macau Eight Immortals Hotel. The deceased ranged in age from 7 to 70.

When the murder case was exposed the following year, it was widely rumored that the murderer cooked the body of the deceased into barbecued pork buns and sold them in restaurants. The case caused a sensation in Hong Kong and Macao.

During his detention, Huang Zhiheng killed himself by cutting off his pulse with a soda bottle and never admitted to killing anyone.

It is still a mystery whether the suspect was assisted by the same party or not.

This case has been adapted into movies, TV series and comics for many times. As "human pork buns" are mentioned in the story, it is said that the sales of pork buns in Hong Kong and Macao will drop whenever the film is staged.
