Zhao-Qian-en Railway starts in Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, passes through Weining County, Hezhang County, Bijie City, Jinsha County, Zunyi City, Meitan County, Fenggang County, Dejiang County and Yanhe County under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province, Youyang County and Qianjiang District under the jurisdiction of Chongqing City, Xianfeng County and Xuanen County under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province, and ends in Enshi City. Most of them are county towns along the way, and there are few big cities, so the investment risk is high. The fiscal revenue of counties and cities along the way can't bear the losses in the early stage of the railway, so there is no trend of construction of this railway so far.
