A paradise hidden in the suburbs of Guangzhou, known as "Meinv Village", has a reason to go all year round.

In the depths of Conghua, Guangzhou, there is an ancient village with simple folk customs. There are neither mountains and rivers in Mingchuan nor great historical stories here, but it attracts many tourists like a paradise in the suburbs, and there are reasons to come here all year round.

This is Xitou Village, located in the suburb of Guangzhou, northeast of Conghua Liangkou. It is one of the three sources of Liuxi River.

This is my third visit to Xitou Village. Two of them came to Xitou Village specially, and both of them stayed here for one night. The third time, I walked to Xitou Village and then went back by car. Every time I take a different route, I feel different. But every time I have fun, I feel very relaxed. This may be the charm of nature.

When we came here for the first time, we specially took a bus to the entrance of Xitou Village, focusing on the simple folk customs here and getting close to nature.

At the entrance of the village, we were attracted by a farm. There are many homestays and farms here, all of which are relatively literary and decorated, which is a style that young people like. In the farm, you can taste the special dishes here, bamboo rice and fresh bamboo shoots (depending on the season). The price of the food is not bad, which is similar to that of the urban area, but it will be more original.

Go to the entrance of the village is the market in Xitou Village. The market will be very lively sooner or later.

There are all kinds of agricultural products in the market: green plums, dried bamboo shoots, dried sweet potatoes and so on. There are also some handicrafts made of bamboo tubes, as well as the special foods here: bamboo tube rice, freshly ground sesame paste and landscape tofu flowers. Every time I come here, I will bring some special products home. I feel this can prove that I was here.

When we checked in, we met the landlord of a very kind homestay, an old couple. He patiently explained the nearby scenic spots and tour routes, helped us prepare breakfast and arranged the best room for us.

Wander around the village in the evening. There are many fruit trees here, and you can see the sunset on the road. Sitting at the table on the roof at night, chatting with friends and eating melon seeds.

Get up early the next day, push open the door, and the air in the morning is very fresh. Unexpectedly, I could still see the sea of clouds on the hillside, so I picked up my camera and recorded it.

There is a stream in Xitou Village, which is very clear. This should be a classic hiking route: the upstream line.

When the sun comes out, many tourists will play in the water under bridge opening to cool off. They can take off their shoes and sit on the stone, put their feet on the stream and feel the coolness of the stream flowing slowly from their feet. They don't want to leave when they sit down.

Xitou Village is also called "Meinv Village", perhaps because there are many beautiful women here, or maybe all the beautiful women come here, or maybe they become beautiful and handsome after coming.

Go out to the exit of Xitou Village and take another road. You can go to a waterfall: Qianlonggou Waterfall. You need tickets, but we didn't go in.

On the way, there will be more farms, so we can stop to have a rest and taste the special dishes of the farms. We ordered chai chicken, fresh bamboo shoots and snails, which were really delicious.

Xitou Village has its own beautiful scenery all year round. Plum blossoms are enjoyed in spring, and the characteristic Sanhua plums here are in full bloom. In summer, go upstream and enjoy the cool summer; Enjoy maple leaves in autumn; When digging winter bamboo shoots in winter, try fresh bamboo shoots and cooked bacon first. There is a large bamboo forest on the road. When the wind blows, the bamboo moves with the wind, and the beautiful music of nature plays, which is very comfortable.
