Du Fu was drunk and his horse fell, and the princes brought wine to look at each other
Du Fu, an old guest from the princes, stopped drinking and sang and touched the golden halberd. While riding a horse, I suddenly recalled that when I was young, scattered hooves fell on Qutang stones. Outside the water clouds at the gate of Baidi City, I lowered myself eight thousand feet down.

See "Book of Rites Tan Gong Shang" and "Historical Records of the Five Emperors". This is used to compare the Zhaoling Mausoleum where Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty was buried. Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty received inner Zen from his great ancestor Li Yuan, who was named Emperor Shenyao. Yao's Zen was located in Shun, so Shun was used as a metaphor for Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty.

Translation:
The tower of Ci'en Temple is higher than the sky, and the strong wind blows non-stop.
If you don’t have an open-minded mind,
going up this building will trigger emotions and give rise to a lot of sorrow.
Only when you climb up to the Ci’en Temple Tower and gaze into the distance can you realize the power of Buddhism.
It is enough to create masterpieces and explore beautiful places.
After walking through the curved path on your back, you walked out of the dark place where the branches and trees were intertwined.
Finally climbed to the top.
When you look up at the Big Dipper from the tower at night, it seems to be in the north window of the tower.
In your ears, you seem to hear the sound of the Milky Way water flowing to the west.
Climbing the tower during the day and looking up at the sky, Xi He whipped the sun to the west quickly.
Shaohao, the God of Autumn, brought autumn to the world.
Looking down, the mountains of Zhongnan suddenly seem to be broken into pieces, and the water of Jingwei is difficult to distinguish between clear and turbid.
Looking down from above, it’s just a blur.
How can we tell where the capital Chang’an is?
Looking back to call the great British lord Yu Shun,
I saw a cloud of sadness rising over the place where Yu Shun’s mausoleum was buried.
What a pity! At that time, King Mu and the Queen Mother were drinking and having fun in Kunlun Yaochi.
They drank until nightfall and reached the top of Kunlun Mountain.
The yellow swans kept flying away one by one,
they kept whining and whining, not knowing where to go.
Look at those geese chasing the sun and warmth.
Each has his or her own tricks to make a living.
Appreciation:
This poem was written by Du Fu when he climbed the pagoda of Ci'en Temple in the autumn of the 11th year of Tianbao's reign (752). Ci'en Temple was built for his mother when Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty was the crown prince, so it was called Ci'en. It was built in the 21st year of Zhenguan (647). The pagoda was built by Xuanzang in the third year of Yonghui (652). It is called the Wild Goose Pagoda and has six floors. It was rebuilt in the first year of Dazu (701) and increased to seven floors. It is located in the southeast of Xi'an today. There is a self-note on this poem: Shi Gao Shi and Xue Ju wrote it first. In addition, Cen Shen and Chu Guangxi also wrote poems. This poem by Du Fu is the highlight of all the poems with the same title.
The sky is high, and the strong wind never stops. At the very beginning of the poem, there are strange words and extraordinary spirit. Talking about high standards instead of high towers reminds people of the treetops reaching into the sky as described in the sentence "Yangniao Huihui Gaobiao" in Zuo Si's "Ode to the Capital of Shu". It also reminds people of the six dragons in Li Bai's "The Road to Shu is Difficult" The towering peak described in the sentence "Hui Ri Zhi Gao". The high standard here is used to express the height of the tower. Talking about the firmament instead of the sky will outline the shape of the sky. Use the word "cross" to connect it closely with the sky. The sky is dome-shaped, so you can stand on it. It's not enough to exaggerate the height, so a strong wind is used to set it off. The wind was strong and never rested, and the tower was extremely high. Since I am not a scholar, I am here to read hundreds of worries and express my feelings euphemistically in two sentences, which is not without cynical sentiment. The poet did not say that he could not bear the strong wind and caused all kinds of worries, but took a step away and said that he was not as elegant and elegant as the broad-minded people. He climbed the tower and looked down at China, with mixed feelings and endless worries rolling in his heart. At that time, the Tang Dynasty was still prospering and peaceful on the surface, but in fact it was full of crises. Being worried about the strong wind is exactly where this political crisis is felt. His profound worries and far-sightedness are beyond the reach of other masters.
In the next four sentences, we put aside all worries and start a new chapter, turning to the description of the temple and tower architecture. Only then did we know that Chengdenzi has fine needles and dense threads, and tight connections. Xiangjiao is Buddhism. Buddhism uses images to teach people, so it is called Xiangjiao. Mingsou means exploring in the high and deep, which means meditation and imagination. Chasing means chasing and climbing. Since the pagoda is a product of Buddhist worship, the pagoda here has become a symbol of the power of Buddhism. Only then did he know that the power of Xiang's teachings was enough to make him search for two sentences. He praised the majesty of the temple and tower architecture, and said that it was as ingenious as heaven's workmanship and as wonderful as human imagination. At this point, I also use a surprising pen to point out the climbing of the tower and highlight the dangers of the tower. Looking up at the Dragon and Snake Cave, climbing up the narrow, winding and deep stairs is like walking through the Dragon and Snake's cave: you will first emerge from the branches to support the darkness, bypass the dark interlaced beams and railings in the tower, and climb to the top of the tower, only then will you suddenly feel enlightened. Cheerful. These two sentences not only reflect the high standard, but also lead to the distant view from the top of the tower. The writing is natural and rigorous.
Standing on the highest floor of the tower, you feel like you are in a heavenly palace. The Seven Stars are in Beitou, and I seem to see the Big Dipper twinkling outside the north window: the sound of rivers and rivers flowing to the west, and the sound of Milky Way water flowing to the west seems to ring in my ears. The Milky Way has neither water nor sound. Here it is compared to a human river, which evokes the sound of water, which is a wonderful metaphor. The second sentence is about an imaginary night scene. Then turn around and write about the temporary dusk scene. Xihe whipped the day, and Shaohao traveled in the clear autumn. The time was dusk and the season was autumn. Xihe is the god who drives the sun chariot. According to legend, he drives a chariot pulled by six dragons to carry the sun through the sky. The author uses his imagination here to change the myth. Instead of six dragons pulling the sun, Xi He chases the sun. He thought the sun was running slowly, so he whipped the sun with a whip to urge it to run faster. Shaohao, said to be the son of the Yellow Emperor, is the god in charge of autumn. He is implementing the autumn order and is in charge of the autumn colors in the world. These two sentences point out that the landing is at a specific time of autumn and sunset, creating an atmosphere for the lyrical scene below.
The next step is to write about what you see when you look down, so as to arouse emotion, which is the focus of the whole article. Qinshan suddenly shattered, leaving Jingwei unavailable. How can you tell the imperial state if you look down at it? The poet writes based on what he sees when he climbs the tower, and has some sustenance in the description of the scene. Qinshan refers to Zhongnan Mountain and Qinling Mountains. When you look at it from the ground, you can only see a patch of green. But from a tower, you can see that the mountains are mixed in size and rise and fall, and the earth seems to be cut into many pieces. The Jing water is turbid and the Wei water is clear. However, looking from the tower, it is difficult to tell which is the Jing water and which is the Wei water. The clear and turbid water are confused. Looking at Huangzhou (that is, the capital Chang'an), I can only see a hazy scene. These four sentences describe the scene at dusk, but they also have other meanings, telling that the mountains and rivers are broken, the clear and the dirty are indistinguishable, the Kyoto is hazy, and the politics are dim. This echoes Prozac.
"Tongjian": (Tianbao Eleventh Year) (Xuanzong) in his later years relied on peace and thought that the world had nothing to worry about, so he lived in confinement, amusing himself with sound and lust, and entrusted political affairs to (Li) Linfu. Lin Fu was always interested in doing things around him, so he wanted to keep his favor. They cut off speech and conceal their intelligence in order to become traitors; they were jealous of talents and talents, and suppressed others to protect their positions; they repeatedly raised large jails and executed noble ministers to expand their power. For nineteen years in phase, the world will be in chaos. Du Fu had already seen this situation, so he was filled with emotion.
The following eight sentences are touching. It is precisely because the politics of the imperial court were dark and crisis-ridden that we recalled the era of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. I look back and call Yu Shun, Cangwu Yun is worried. The pagoda is located in the southeastern area of ??Chang'an. When looking down at Chang'an above, we were facing northwest. Now we are looking south at Cangwu, so we have to look back. Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty was called Emperor Shen Yao, and Emperor Taizong accepted the inner Zen, so he was called Yu Shun. Shun's burial in Cangwu was comparable to Taizong's Zhaoling. Yun Zhengchou wrote that the clouds over Zhaoling seemed to be worried about the political chaos of the Tang Dynasty. The word "called" expresses Du Fu's deep nostalgia for Taizong's political Qingming era. The next two sentences recall the past and lead to the present: Xizai Yaochi drinks, and the sun rises to the Kunlun Mountains. Drinking in Yaochi, Volume 4 of "The Biography of Emperor Mu", records that King Mu of Zhou Dynasty and Queen Mother of the West drank in Yaochi, "Liezi". "King Mu of Zhou" says that King Mu of Zhou ascended to the hill of Kunlun and then visited the Queen Mother of the West. He drank wine on top of Yaochi, where he could watch the sun. This refers to Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei having a banquet in Lishan Mountain and living a debauched life. The combination of sunrise and sunset means that the Tang Dynasty will fall into crisis. This echoes the four sentences of "Qinshan Broken", expressing all kinds of worries. It was precisely because Xuanzong handed over political affairs to Li Linfu, and Li suppressed the virtuous, that the yellow swans kept going, whining about where to invest. Talented people were rejected one after another and had to leave the court, wailing like yellow swans with nowhere to go. Finally, the poet wrote indignantly: You see the geese following the sun, everyone has their own plans, and denounces those who follow the crowd, just like migratory birds that follow the warmth of the sun, only caring about their own livelihood and pursuing personal gain.
The whole poem is full of scenery, emotion and profound meaning. Qian Qianyi said: The high standard is strong and the wind is high, and there are many worries. It is almost in danger of falling apart, but it is getting better. Jingwei cannot be sought, Chang'an cannot be distinguished, so I look back and think about Yu Shun and Yaochi Riyan, saying that the world will be in chaos, and feasting cannot be normal. This explains the purpose of the whole article. Because of this, this poem became an important work in the poet's early creation.
