Xishuifeng folk custom. What?

Xishui people celebrate the New Year.

"When the New Year comes, blame the family. Children want hats and women want flowers. Daughter-in-law wants meat back to her mother's house, and mother-in-law wants glutinous rice to rub (beat) it. The nursery rhymes in my memory seem to echo in my ears, but they are like dusty history. After all, such new year's expectations are gone.

I haven't spent the New Year in my hometown for a long time, but every time I think of my childhood in my hometown, it's really a sad memory.

In fact, in Tuanpi, our hometown, China New Year begins on the 24th of the twelfth lunar month. When I was a child, I sang children's songs and looked forward to the New Year: "Twenty-four (twelfth lunar month), nagging fishbones; Twenty-five, tofu; Twenty-six, called annual meat; Twenty-seven, completed this year; Twenty-eight, sloppy washing; Twenty-nine, every family has it; Thirty nights, hahaha. "

Twenty-four is a small year and the beginning of a new year. Of course, there is also a sacred ceremony: receiving ancestors. Come to think of it, this is the filial piety of China people. How do the living forget their dead relatives, especially their elders, during the Chinese New Year? In our hometown, there is a nave on the front wall of every hall, and this "pro" is his ancestor. There must be a formal large table in the hall, where ancestors and visitors sit. The ceremony was held at dinner on the 24th of the twelfth lunar month. Several dishes were placed on the table, eight chairs were placed around, and then wine was poured. Adults should say a few affectionate compliments (to their ancestors, of course). At this time, no one can touch the chair. After three rounds of wine, I moved my chair, respectfully poured three glasses of wine on the table on the floor, and then poured other wines into the hip flask (I think this is because I can't bear to empty them all). After the ceremony, the whole family began to eat and the New Year began.

After the off-year, the year is really held. Of course, the schedule of a year will not be like that in children's songs, but it is also inseparable.

Ciba, bean cake, and * * are all places for friends to catch up and have fun. Sometimes richer families will pull a cake or half a bean cake for the onlookers.

In our hometown, eating New Year's Eve is an indispensable and important thing. Generally speaking, it can be served from the 28th to 30th of the twelfth lunar month, but it is still in the middle of the 30th. According to legend, the reason for eating New Year's Eve 30 years ago was that the poor struggled to eat it for a year, otherwise the debt collectors would not be able to eat it. Most New Year's Eve dinners are finished before dawn in the morning. It is said that the reason for having New Year's Eve dinner in the morning is that the poor people who are afraid of begging have gone to the God of Wealth. The poor eat at night, but the poor families have to wait for the porter to bring something back or borrow something to eat together. But most people like to have New Year's Eve dinner in the morning. It seems that they want the blessing of the "rich".

Vigilance is the rule on New Year's Eve. Surround a fire pit in the center of the hall, put a prepared dry tree bag (where the roots and stems of the tree meet) on it, and add dry firewood to light it. The fire is fierce. If it is a pine tree, the smell of rosin fills the whole courtyard. Older men will warm a pot of local water wine by the fireplace, and peanuts are the best appetizer. Sugar water and tea will be heated by the fireplace for women and children to enjoy. Children's favorite thing is to roast a gas bar by the fireplace. When the Ciba starts to roast thoroughly, there will be a big belly in the middle, which will get bigger and bigger, and then suddenly burst. At this time, if you are not careful, the broken belly will stick to a piece of ash. This is the happiest thing for children in childhood. They want to have a bulging belly, but they are afraid that they will be caught off guard and become totally embarassed. They're just tired of their eyes, and they seem to jump out. They all smiled and sighed.

There was no TV on New Year's Eve then. It's late at night, and finally I can't stand the intrusion of sleepiness, so I will climb into bed one by one. But firecrackers in the morning will bring people into the first day of the new year.

On the morning of the first day of the first month, I will get up early, which is called "going out". I still don't understand what this recipe really means, but everyone knows that it is to pray for good luck in the new year. First, firecrackers should be set off early; Second, they must be set off by family members; Third, of course, the longer the firecrackers, the louder the better. After the firecrackers are set off, the housewife at home will make a bowl of brown sugar water with the fragrance of rice flowers in it, and everyone can enjoy a cup. This is a blessing representing "sweet prosperity"!

The breakfast on the first day of junior high school must be overnight chicken bacon thick soup. The aroma of bacon has been elegant all over the house, making children salivate. When I was a child, the delicious food in my hometown, "chicken soup and instant noodles, bacon cooked", could only be eaten during the New Year.

After breakfast, the whole bay (natural village) began to pay New Year's greetings. Every household will set off firecrackers and give their children a handful of peanuts or homemade cakes when they come. The children were in high spirits and went door to door, making the whole bay full of firecrackers and returning home with full loads.

Visiting relatives to pay New Year's greetings is also a major event in the first month. Of course, we should start with the elders or the closest relatives. Adults should bring a child when they go out to pay New Year's greetings. I didn't understand it at that time, but when I grew up, I felt that "damn" was not among them, so it was not painful.

In our hometown, it is very fashionable to play dragon lanterns, catch colorful lotus boats and sing social operas. It is also the happiest place in childhood. Anyway, I can't understand the temple fair drama, but there are more people who like it.

On the fifteenth day of the first month, we also have breakfast. After breakfast, the children must go to the bamboo forest to shake bamboo. When shaking bamboo, they sang a song: "Master Zhu, Mother Zhu, you can grow up for me, and you will grow up as long as you want."

"Thirty fires and fifteen lights" is very particular in my hometown. But in my impression, there is no such thing as a "lantern" that I learned later. But after nightfall, all the dragon lanterns will put wax torches on each section and roll and dance between the open fields and mountains. This is a real dragon lantern, and it is a very touching scene.

To talk about the "lights" in the Tenth Five-Year Plan, the most grand and wonderful part is "lighting", which is also a huge and sacred thing. In the afternoon-about four o'clock, Zuren will be sent home. Maybe this is a ceremony to end China's New Year. Every family will bring candles and incense to the ancestral graves, light incense in front of each tombstone, and light candles to light the way home for their ancestors. When it is completely dark, as long as you dare to walk out of the gate and look up, the distant mountains are dotted with lights, erratic and mysterious, like stars and fireflies, as if heaven and earth are connected together, forming a scene that makes you daydream endlessly.

Although the New Year's Eve on the Lantern Festival is a rare "Yuanxiao"-Tangyuan Garden, it is not very interesting. Because tomorrow-the sixteenth day of the first month, it is "the end of the year, beating gongs and drums, ups and downs."

And the new "year" will wait until the arrival of the new twelfth lunar month.
