Kaiyuan Temple
Kaiyuan Temple, located in Quanzhou West Street, was founded in the early Tang Dynasty. The main existing temples were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of 78,000 square meters, and are the largest Buddhist temples in Fujian Province.
Main scenic spots in the scenic spot:
Quanzhou's landmark East Tower and West Tower, and Quanzhou's eighteen scenic twin towers, are one of the four famous towers in China. The East Tower is called "Zhenguo Tower" and was built in the Tang Dynasty. When completed, it was a five-story wooden tower. It was converted into a seven-story brick tower in the Southern Song Dynasty. Today's stone pagoda was rebuilt from the second year of Jiaxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1238) to the tenth year of Chun Dynasty (1250), with a height of 48.24 meters. It is the tallest stone pagoda in China. The West Tower is Renshou Tower, which was built in the Five Dynasties. When it was completed, it was a seven-level wooden tower. After many times of destruction and reconstruction, it turned wood into bricks. Today's stone pagoda was rebuilt from the first year of Shaoding in the Southern Song Dynasty (1228) to the first year of Jiaxi (1237), with a height of 44.06 meters.
Daxiong Hall was built in the Tang Dynasty. The existing hall is in the early Ming style, with a building area of 1338 square meters, resting on the top of the mountain, with double eaves and a height of 20 meters. There are 86 big stone pillars in the hall. The sculpture technique of Daxiong Hall is superb, especially the 24 flying musicians between the beams and troughs, which is really rare in ancient buildings in China.
Ganlu Huan Tan was built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the late Ming Dynasty. It is one of the three existing Huan Tan in China.
Shawn Ku is the oldest existing mulberry tree in China, with a history of 1300 years. The site of the temple is Huang Shougong's mulberry garden. According to legend, "the dream-keeper monk wants to turn the land into a temple, saying," If only mulberries produced lotus flowers. In a few days, mulberry trees will open lotus flowers and worship the gods, and the house will be a temple. "So, kaiyuan temple is called" Sanghe Array ".
The scenic spot is open to the public free of charge, and the tour time is about 1-2 hours.
Lingshan holy tomb
The Holy Tomb of Lingshan is the oldest and best-preserved Islamic shrine in China. According to the records of Shu Min in Ming Dynasty, during the Wude period of Tang Dynasty (6 18-626), Mohammed sent four sages to China, and one sage preached in Guangzhou. Two immortals spread to Yangzhou; Three sages and four sages spread to Quanzhou and were buried in Lingshan. After the burial, there is a luminous mountain, which varies from person to person, hence the name of the holy tomb and Lingshan.
The author's trip coincides with the Muslim pilgrimage from Gansu.
Another scene of Lingshan is the wind movement of the eight scenic jade balls in ancient Quanzhou. There is a natural boulder in the scenic spot and the wind is blowing. On the stone is the word "Jasper Ball" inscribed by Zhou Daoguang, the magistrate of Quanzhou in Ming Dynasty.
Tickets for this scenic spot 15 yuan, the tour time is about 0.5 hours.
Zhongshan Road
The bell tower is located at the crossroads. Its east-west direction is East Street and West Street, and its north-south direction is Zhongshan South Road and Zhongshan North Road. Master Lu chose Zhongshan South Road for the first time. I am a good boy. I thought Dongxi Street was famous, but I didn't expect this Zhongshan Road to be magical. Quanzhou Nanbei Street was renamed "Zhongshan Road". It was formed in the 1920s and 1930s, and it is the only and best-preserved arcade in China. "There are two towers in the east and two streets in the north and south." The latter sentence refers to Zhongshan Road in Quanzhou, with similar architectural styles. Many people see it in Po County, but it is also full of exotic atmosphere. It's rainy in the south, so the arcade can shelter from the wind. In view of the hot weather in Quanzhou National Day, the halogen owner simply used it to shade the sun. In order to foil the beauty of the arcade, Lord Lu had to do it himself.
Weiyuan tower
"East-West Tower, North-South Street." Zhongshan Road has a long history. The cylindrical arcade building, built in the 1920s, has a total length of about 2.5km and rich architectural culture. It combines the traditional characteristics of Quanzhou folk houses with the architectural essence of marine culture, and is a successful example of the combination of Chinese and western cultures in history. "It's rainy in the south, and the arcade can take shelter from the wind." Zhongshan Road, which embodies the architectural style of southern China, is the only and best-preserved row arcade commercial street in China. Zhongshan Road is like a bright pearl necklace, strung together important cultural relics and historic sites in the ancient city. Walking here is like flipping through a thick book, and you can read through the history of the ancient city. Let's look at Zhongshan North Road again. Strangely, the section of Zhongshan North Road from Bell and Drum Tower to Zhongshan Park is still a stone pavement. You said it was a pedestrian street, but there was a lot of traffic on it; You say it's for the preservation of historical sites, but it's not messy at all ~ ~ Solve your doubts, my friend.
Weiyuan Building, the first scenic spot on Zhongshan North Road, is next to your hotel, and outside the building is the bus hub of "Licheng Second Hospital". This is the former site of Quanzhou government in Tang and Song Dynasties. Weiyuan Building, also known as "Drum Tower" among the people, is commonly known as North Drum Tower; Modern people in Quanzhou call it "Tiananmen Square in southern Fujian". Wang Shiming, Governor of Quanzhou in the Southern Song Dynasty, named the North Building of Quanzhou (Weiyuan Building) and the South Building of Wuchang (Yellow Crane Tower) as "World Famous Buildings"; In the autumn and August of the ninth year of Yuan Dynasty (1349), Qi Yuli, the secretariat of Quanzhou, chose another site in front of the state government and built this ancient Quanzhou landmark tower, named Weiyuan Tower. At the end of last century, it was rebuilt after 100 meters. There are cloisters, arched tiles and carved beams and painted buildings on the first and second floors. It is a typical wooden hall with seven rooms, single eaves and built on the mountain, imitating the ancient buildings in southern Fujian during the Tang and Song Dynasties. The landscape of the whole tower is simple and magnificent. Now the second floor is the exhibition hall, which is open to the public free of charge.
