How to eliminate specular reflection in shooting?

If you want to take photos through the window in a room, the ideal way is to dim the indoor lights to contrast with the outdoor environment. You should know that if the indoor light is stronger than the outdoor light, there will be reflection, so dim the lights. If there is no way to change the lights, you can close the curtains and only expose the lens. Curtains will block the bright light in the room, so the effect will be much better.

Wear dark clothes

Although this can't completely solve the problem, it can really reduce the reflective area and make the photo look less bad. Remember not to wear light-colored clothes, which will only make the photos look messy in the sun.

Shoot near the window

Shoot as close to the window as possible, but if you use a SLR, be careful not to let the lens touch the glass to avoid getting dirty.

4. Avoid using super wide-angle lenses.

Try to avoid using ultra-wide-angle lenses, because ultra-wide-angle lenses have a wider field of view and are easy to increase the probability of shooting reflective objects.

Use a polarizer

If possible, you can use a polarizer to eliminate reflection, which is of course the best way. However, some high-rise hotels will use Polaroid glass as windows, so be careful, because the two polarizers are easy to cause color cast when stacked together.
