White Swan Hotel was jointly invested and built by Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Hong Kong Weichang Development Co., Ltd. of Dr. Fok Yingdong, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It officially opened on February 6th, 1983, which is the first large-scale modern hotel designed, built and managed by China people.
