What's wrong with being at home

Disadvantages are as follows: (1) Narrow brand positioning, similar products and low degree of differentiation. (2) The supervision system of standardization work is not perfect. (3) Lack of talents.

Home Inn's product functions mainly highlight simple business functions such as accommodation environment and breakfast, and generally require being close to the business center and convenient transportation in site selection. However, this makes the products between Home Inns and other major economic hotel chain brands similar, and the degree of differentiation is not enough. Everyone is basically grabbing the same market and ignoring the market segments.

Home Inn's standardization work system is imperfect, supervision is imperfect, staff's labor efficiency is low, and service quality is unstable. At present, guests' requirements for budget hotels are to have corresponding norms, basic service quality and professional level. The standardization of budget hotels is an urgent problem to be solved.

The shortage of talents will be the bottleneck restricting the development of future home-like economy hotel chains. The rapid increase in the number of domestic budget hotels has increased the demand for talents. Economy hotels need more than one person, which sets a high standard for employees' ability. Excessive expansion and lack of professionals will often lead to management difficulties, decline in service quality and even affect brand image.
