Bar classification

According to different forms and functions and their specific location in the hotel, the bar service facilities of tourist hotels usually include vertical bars, service bars, cocktail lounges and banquet bars.

1, vertical bar?

Vertical bar, the most common bar, is the most typical and representative bar facility. "Vertical" does not mean that guests have to drink standing up, nor is it named because waiters or bartenders all serve standing up. It is actually just a traditional customary title. In this kind of bar, the guests either sit on a high stool and lean against the bar, or enjoy the beverage service on the chairs and sofas in the bar, and the bartender stands inside the bar and operates in front of the guests. Vertical bar waiters generally work alone, not only responsible for the preparation, service and collection of drinks, but also must master the operation of the whole bar.

Step 2 serve it

In the kitchens of hotel restaurants and large social restaurants, service bars are common. The wine cabinets in many hotels and restaurants in China are actually service bars, because guests don't enjoy drinks directly in bars. Although they sometimes buy drinks from there, they usually issue invoices and provide beverage service through restaurant waiters. Although the service of the service bar must be shared with the restaurant waiter, all kinds of drinks are finally decorated according to the bar waiter held by the restaurant waiter, such as adding peaches, lemons or pineapples to cocktails. In most hotels, the waiter in the service bar is not responsible for the collection of alcoholic drinks, which is usually carried out by the cashier in the restaurant.

3. Cocktail party

Cocktail party is a facility in a large hotel. Cocktail lounge is usually located near the hotel lobby, or it is an extension of the lobby or uses the space around the lobby. There is usually a wall separating it from the lobby. Cocktail boxes are generally more spacious than vertical wines. There are often pianos, harps or small bands to play for guests, and some have small dance floors for guests to dance. The cocktail lounge is also equipped with advanced tables and chairs and sofas. The environment is more elegant and comfortable than vertical bars, and the atmosphere is quieter and slower than vertical bars. Guests usually stay longer. The business process of cocktail lounge is basically the same as that of service bar, that is, the bartender issues invoices and delivers drinks to the guests. If the lounge is small, the bartender is responsible for collecting money himself. However, in the larger cocktail lounge, there are usually special cashiers, and service personnel are responsible for cleaning glasses, tables and chairs and replenishing raw materials.

4. Banquet Bar

Banquet bar is a bar facility specially set up for banquet business in hotels and restaurants. Its bar can be dismantled and moved at any time, and can also be permanently installed in banquet places.

China's Wine Culture

Wine is one of the main drinks in human life. China has a long history of wine-making, with a variety of famous wines, which enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. Yellow rice wine is one of the oldest wines in the world. About 3000 years ago, during the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, China people created the compound fermentation method of distiller's yeast and began to brew a large number of yellow rice wine. About 1000 years ago in the Song Dynasty, China people invented the distillation method, and since then, liquor has become the main liquor for China people to drink. Wine permeates the whole 5,000-year history of Chinese civilization, and plays an important role in China people's life from literary and artistic creation, cultural entertainment to diet and cooking, health care and so on.
